I had looked at several people before settling on Andy for vocal lessons and I'm very happy I did. Even after a few lessons, I've noticed large strides in progress. He's very diligent and not complacent at all. He has stacks of books about voices and vocal faults- he's constantly trying to become better so you can be sure he'll do the same for you.

I've been very happy with my lessons so far and am giddy to see continued progress under Andy.

I met Jamila through Take Lessons, and I have to admit, I was so taken back by her level of expertise and knowledge, not to mention her personalized instructions, I am simply delighted to have found her. I find Jamila to be kind, patient and very thorough. I really enjoy spending time with her, talking about music theories, and understanding the art of playing the piano. She has so much knowledge and talent, that I can only hope to be able to play like her, even if its a fraction of the talent. Jamila is such a wonderful teacher, I see her with the younger students, and she has so much patience, its a very nice thing to see.

Firstly, I would like to say Bravo! Bravo to the lady in Boca Raton!

Our daughter has been taking piano lessons since she was 6, and she is now 16. So we are not new to piano teachers and piano lessons. However, from the first day our daughter began this wonderful new training in music, being taught/instructed by Ms. Jamila, we've observed a tremendous leap in her interest, enthusiasm and sheer joy of studying piano. Ms. Jamila exhibits all the qualities that one could ever find in a skilled and devoted teacher of music.

She has assisted our daughter in every way from music language, theory, technique to her insightful instruction. Our daughter is finally receiving the knowledge she needs to zoom her forward as a pianist. As a result, our daughter cannot wait for her next communication or lesson from Ms. Jamila. One session with Ms. Jamila is equivalent to one year with someone else.

Ms. Jamila is Absolutely Amazing! We highly recommend her to everyone.

Thank you Ms. Jamila. Bravo!

Jamila is the real deal! What a breath of fresh air after my previous bad experience. She's hands down the most experienced, sweetest and patient teacher around in this area. I've been taking lessons for 4 weeks with Jamila and already playing Bach and Chopin pieces. Every week I'm looking forward to my lessons and I know that I will go far with her. She makes me feel good about myself and always compliments me. She also sends me articles or anything that can help me to get better. Whether you're an adult like me or a child, she won't disappoint you. Thank you Jamila, so happy you moved down from NYC to Florida!

Learning to play classical guitar was a "bucket list " item for a very long time. When I finally got the opportunity through a xmas gift certificate from my kids, I was both excited and apprehensive about the opportunity. Excited about the prospect of finally starting my musical journey but apprehensive about starting to play an instrument later on in life.
In my first class Walter sensed my nervousness and quickly put me at ease by listening to me and exploring my reasons for wanting to learn the guitar. Fast forward the clock about 2 years and I'm still learning and progressing on my musical journey, accompanied along the way by a very talented and patient instructor. Make no mistake about it, learning an instrument has been one of the most difficult challenges I've undertaken. But with Walter's patience and ability to gauge my progress he's been able to keep me challenged and motivated. As long as I continue to grow musically, I feel I've come a long way in fulfilling my bucket list objective and for that I have Walter to thank.

Aldrin is an excellent teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable and shows that knowledge in many ways. He is very patient and does not make me feel pressured. I am thrilled that he will be the person to give me my future lessons. His explanations of what we are doing are clear and concise. Cannot wait for the next lesson. As a matter of fact, my wife who listened in, will most likely take keyboard lessons from Aldrin as well.

Mike B. Pompano Beach, FL

About Mike

I teach all styles of music and all levels of ability As I look back at my life, I see that music was my constant companion. My passion for music, and more specifically for the guitar, goes back to the time when, as a ten year old I received a guitar for my birthday. The sound of the instrument truly struck a chord in my heart and I learned to respect and love the instrument to the point that I thought of it almost as a companion, as something alive or, more exactly, as something my fingers could make come alive. At first I wanted to play rock and popular music, but eventually I switched to classical. When I entered the realm of classical music, a whole new world opened up for me -- new feelings, new emotions, and new challenges. My enthusiasm for music continued, and beginning in

I really like Mike.

First off - he is SUPER punctual. The one time he was running late I even got a timely text message warning.

Second - he is very good at diagnosing issues and providing the right exercise/coaching.

Third - he is very flexible. I feel him supporting my music choices... not imposing his still or preferences.

And finally - he seems to me (I'm not good enough to judge) VERY skilled as a player... able to deconstruct songs, able to transpose quickly, able to find alternative strumming patterns.

I really feel very good about recommending him.

Mike is a great musician and knows how to translate that to his students. He cares about his students and goes the extra distance. He is patient but knows how to get the most out of his student's ability. I have been taking lessons with Mike for 2 years now and never expected to be as advanced as he has helped me to be. He is a wonderful teacher!!
