We are so happy with the great experiences that Rachel has provided our daughter with, through music. Our daughter really enjoys her time each week learning new songs and gaining confidence with singing them. As the weeks go by we have observed our daughters self-esteem develop and her willingness to participate in social events . My husband and I are so thankful for the knowledge she is bringing into our daughters life.

Rachel is terrific!

Rachel is very patient with my daughter, who has a learning disability. We couldn't be happier with her as my daughter's Voice Teacher. Rachel makes the lessons fun, and my daughter is learning a lot of great techniques. Highly recommend!

Sanford is an exceptional instructor and person

My son stared lessons with Sanford about 7 months ago. He is doing a fantastic job with Sanford as his instructor. Sanford is kind, extremely patient, knowledgable and supportive. He gives my son a little push when he needs with positive words of encouragement. What I found to be wonderful was the way he was able to start teaching all aspects of playing music simultaneously, reading, writing, and playing music. The excitement my son feels every time he is able to play a piece of music is priceless. We have Sanford to thank for that.

I very much enjoy the time I share and learn with Mike. He has been very patient with my slow learning curve. I have noticed that he caters to a person's strengths, which works for me since I have been slowly learning technique and muscle coordination in respect to playing the violin.

I highly recommend anyone at any age to call upon Mike for instrumental instruction.

To TakeLessons, thank you for offering a system that lets people connect with highly competent instructors.

Mike has been very patient and helpful and takes the time to carefully explain the instruction given. Besides being a great teacher Mike is very personable and that makes the lessons stress free. Taking lessons from an accomplished working musician is the best possible choice.
Thank you Mike for taking me on as a student!

Mike is the best!!

I always wanted to learn Violin, but at 26 I thought I'd never get very far. Mike is teaching me Improvisation so that I can jam with my bluegrass friends. After 9 months of lessons with Mike, I am starting to really understand my instrument and am able to jam with my friends! I never thought I would progress this quickly and I know that is all due to the way Mike has taught me and teaching me certain things every week that I can build on and practice at home. I definitely recommend Mike for lessons on any instrument, he is a talented multi-instrumentalist who is interested in all genres of music from classical to country, he is accessible and doesn't make you feel like an idiot when you don't get it right, but he is also tough enough on you that you progress very quickly. He is also interested in teaching you what you want to learn, the right way, so you can get the most out of your musical experience. Playing fiddle is now one of my favorite things to do, I get so much joy out of it, all thanks to Mike and a little hard work!! :)

We also do bi-annual recitals in October and April to showcase the students' accomplishments. *** Lesson Details *** My lessons are both fun and educational at the same time. I compromise with my students by having us each pick a piece to play on top of the usual learning pieces. My students play anything from Katy Perry to 80s music and rock ballads and in between. I use John Thompson and Fingerpower as well as a notespeller for

Joe is awesome

I came to Joe with some basic knowledge and skills on bass, he recognized this and built on it very quickly. I feel my skilled has tripled in the short time I've taken lessons with Joe. Our lessons are never boring an he does so much more than tell me to play a set of notes, he challenges me to make my own way and improvise. I would definitely recommend him for anyone wanting to learn an instrument.

Joe taught both my kids and made it a wonderful experience

We wanted our son and daughter to have an appreciation of music and at the same time enjoy the experience. Joe was the perfect solution. He has the ability to reach out to kids and make them feel comfortable. He encouraged them to select the music they enjoyed and then molded his lessons around their interest. We didn't really need to push them to practice, they actually enjoyed it. This had not been the case at other organizations, where it was always a chore to have them practice.

5 Games for Teaching Kids Piano
Piano is considered an umbrella instrument, meaning, teaching kids to play piano helps them understand music more thoroughly, no matter what instrument they want to play later on. Even most singers first learn the basics of music theory and notation on the piano. Piano lessons at an early age lay out the basics of music-making in black and white (quite literally!). The great news is that you don't need to know anything about playing piano to inspire your children to want to learn. Below are a ha
