Milton J. Corona, CA

About Milton

Music is the means to create a portal into our souls, so that we may see each other for who and what we are, not merely as what we do. I want to help foster those young, middle-aged, and not-as-young how to tap into their own soul portals through music so that they may find others' as well. I believe that in order to entertain others with your voice or your instrument playing, one must first be able to entertain oneself - all the while having fun doing it! As a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis with a double major in Music History & Ethnomusicology and African-American & African Studies; a former co-host of the popular hip-hop radio show ATF Radio: All Things Fresh on KDVS 90.3 FM; a former Music Director of The Afterglow of UC Davis; and a current Vocal Music ...

Wonderful instructor! Milton has a great attitude and is a joy to be around. My son loves learning from him and we are very thankful for finding such a patient, creative and skilled instructor. Student's Review - Milton is an exciting and fun guitar teacher. He has exceeded expectations and made otherwise bland lessons interesting and fun. He is always quippy and easy to be around. Having him as an instructor has made me grow to love the guitar even more.

Best classical guitar teacher ever! Alex is a very easy-going, super friendly and straightforward teacher. He has an amazing ability to make complicated guitar techniques into very easy tasks. I surprised how much I learned just from his first lesson and how much I improved in a week. I would recommend any student regardless your age and level to study with him. You will get your money worth.

Alex is wonderful…he has such a feeling for music and being sure his pupils learn properly…one important thing that impressed me…he asked me a very good question, "do you want to learn easily or do you want to struggle learning?"…I have long nails and he explained when hitting the keys, it is very difficult to hold the wrist and hit the key properly….so I have filed my nails down…LOL….because I want to learn piano easily and most importantly learn the proper etiquette when playing.. He is a great teacher..and he teaches with passion...

William B. Riverside, CA

About William

I am a guitarist, composer and teacher specializing in classical guitar and Latin American music. I have loved music for all of my life and my primary expression of that love is playing guitar. I currently teach private guitar lessons, lecture at San Bernardino Valley College and work as a freelance performer in the Inland Empire and greater Los Angeles area. I began my study of music at the age of thirteen when I taught myself how to play folk, rock and blues guitar. Though, to be honest, I didn't just teach myself. I had many friends who played guitar who would show me songs or correct mistakes in the songs I had learned from the internet. I remember thinking that music had a special ability to bring people together, and I became determined to understand what exactly it was that gave

I was very fortunate to be able to take my first acting lessons with Mara Madison. Her and her husband provided a very supportive and encouraging environment to someone with no acting experience or background. Mara is very knowledgeable and well prepared for each class. She gave me helpful advice and encouragement, as well as material to take home and study for future classes.

Excellent Acting Coach, Teacher, Trainer

I have had a great experience as a student of Mara Madison. She has a lot of industry knowledge and industry experience helping me cut through what's most important when it comes to acting for film, stage, and commercials. I feel really fortunate to be working with her and her husband Marvin.

Mara is a great teacher and coach, very encouraging, and professional. She's always prepared with lesson plans, acting activities, and handouts all customized to my level and progress in her course.

Mara is not teaching me theories, but real world experience honed from years of practicing her craft and through knowledge passed on from her parents who were entrenched in film and theater and tops in their respective industry.

Mara has helped me increase my confidence in front of audiences, become more entertaining, reduce my inhibition and shyness. You will be happy if get a chance to work with Mara. I am so glad to be learning from her.

During our Masters of Music in Vocal Performance program at the University of Redlands, Sara demonstrated professionalism, dedication to her craft as well as a true and deep knowledge of vocal technique, stage craft and performance practices. Sara treats her peers and colleges with respect, and she is kind, patient and nurturing with her students. Sara helped me a great deal with learning to sing with better breath support and to get a level of consistency out of my voice that I thought was beyond me. If she can help me, she can help you.

I came into my lessons with Sara knowing that she was trained as a classical vocalist, but still wanted to find what I could learn from her in other styles. Fortunately for me, Sara actually came from a background in rock music in addition to her conservatory training. Her versatility in different genres and techniques that catered to my specific goals along with her positive attitude made her stand out as a vocal teacher. Definitely would recommend her to any serious vocalist student.
