What’s Your Musical Personality? [Infographic]

Have you ever noticed that certain types of musicians tend to have personality traits in common? At TakeLessons, we talk to musicians all day long, and sometimes we start to see patterns. Inspired by the famous Myers-Briggs personality test, we thought it would be fun to make a chart of the 16 basic personality types plus instruments that go along with them. Check it out:

I first took the stunningly accurate Myers-Briggs test back in High School, then again a few months ago (just to see if anything had changed much over the years).

    The Result both times: INTJ.

So I’m a Conductor, eh? lol … never conducted an orchestra in my life … but I can’t argue with the description much.

My areas of interest & study are Audio Engineering (1 1/2 yrs) & Drums (few private lessons & 1 adult school term), so I looked at your chart from that perspective first actually, & those descriptions are right on the mark with one exception: I’m no Extrovert by any means!

    Thanks for posting! 🙂
