TakeLessons Community Shout Outs – Week of 6/30/14

Each week, TakeLessons students and teachers send us their shout outs. We’re thankful to be a part of this positive and thriving community, so we’d like to share these messages with you. Here are the shout outs we received this week:

Sarah B. in Hudson, FL wrote in to tell us how much she appreciates her piano teacher James P. She wrote, “I played as a child and wanted to pick it up now that I am 30year old. James P. has the perfect balance between theory and practice. After 2 lessons I am playing with ease and with his help, I have developed a true love and appreciation for technique and fundamentals. He opened up a whole world of improvisation in jazz and classical that I never though I could access.” Thanks James, for being a great teacher!!!

Kristen K. in Berkeley, CA wrote, “We had a studio recital this past Saturday and it was the first violin performance for many of my students! All of them did a great job performing their pieces. It was a fun day of celebrating their hard work and the progress that all of them have made. Many of the students have also told me that it was inspiring to watch their peers performing!” Congratulations to all who performed, and thank you Kristen for taking the time to give your students a special day!

Tina B. in Apple Valley, CA wrote, “I haven’t stopped smiling! Four of my students, Julianna, Hannah, Melissa, and Odette, just competed in our local “Idol” competition. I was blown away by the talent that performed tonight, the competition was really tough. Melissa won second place in her division and Odette won first place. I am so proud of all of them!” Well done ladies!!
