If I could make a living doing something I love, it would be creating artwork to share with my community. One of my dreams is to make public art that makes a statement on the preservation of our planet. I plan to create sculptures using recycled or environmentally safe materials. I want to inform my fellow citizens about how important it is to be aware of the destruction caused by pollution and unnecessary garbage.
My current plan is to finish my college education. I am currently enrolled at the University of Arizona. I am a non-traditional full-time student – on schedule to graduate in spring of 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. In order to do so, I am researching and applying for as many scholarships as possible to cover the costs of my education. I plan to finish school debt free and ready to re-enter the working class. With the help of scholarships, I will be able to concentrate all my efforts on my academics – maintaining my 4.0 GPA.
Once I complete my schooling my next plan is to start my own business as a working artist and gallery owner. My hope is to make a name for myself in the art community. After I have established myself as a successful artist, I plan to take my work from private pieces to large scale public art. Both my private and public art will convey the message of EcoArt – work that is Earth friendly and beautiful.
