Life is created for a purpose. My life is to be lived giving myself to others in different countries all around the world. More than anything, I love exchanging life with people. Even as a small girl, I have always wanted to give others hope. As I go through college, I will be traveling to different countries on school breaks, working with mission organizations that are giving back to their community. I want to learn the culture, the language, and the people’s hearts while capturing it all through photojournalism.
After traveling to South Africa to volunteer for a year and a half, I saw my eyes and those I talked to about my experience be opened. This generation has become absorbed in their small world and has yet to realize others’ needs. After completing my education I will be filling this gap by educating people about the world and what it holds.
I am beginning to set up trips to visit mission organizations in Moldova, Russia, Thailand, and various organizations. I will build partners and travel at least three times a year. I will publish blogs and speak in different settings to inform others what is occurring around the world. I will begin to take mission groups on my visits and help fulfill needs in other countries by building orphanages, schools, and supply more job skills training. Changing the world is not done through small moments but through movements where communities rise up and are determined to make a difference.
