I would like to be a part of an interdisciplinary ecological design firm that is involved with large community based public projects. My interest revolves around the idea of humans and nature co-habitating and co- evolving in a harmonious balance. I intend to pursue this goal by the act of restoring native ecosystems within the urban environment along with educating the general public about the idea, the process, and the systems involved.

I would feel a deep sense of accomplishment if I spent my time and energy on working towards restoring and recreating ecosystems. I plan on continuing my education to gain the skills, knowledge, and structure that would enable me to succeed in being a valuable resource to such system projects. I am currently involved with volunteering with organizations such as The Stream Team to fulfill my own personal interest, as well as, to pursue further experience and understanding within environmental systems and activism. I also hope to gain an internship within ecological designs. These steps and goals I have, will allow me a broader and stronger foundation for my future career.

I believe that the world will be positively influenced by ecosystems that provide a harmonious balance of nature and humans. This would offer a healthy life for all living beings. It may take a drastic shift of human consciousness to change one’s lifestyle and way of thinking, but once educated and informed, the world will unleash a paradigm shift. My hopes and dreams will be fulfilled.
