If i could earn a living doing what i love most, it would be to help women who are being abused in relationship and getting foster children a home to call their own. There are too many children out there that don’t have homes or families to call their own. Women are afraid to go to someone for help because their significant other threatens to harm their family if they try to leave so they end up staying with their partner which makes things worse and it doesn’t get better for them in the long run. It’s not easy for them and the have trouble trusting people who are trying to help because they don’t want anything bad to happen to them if their partner found out they were trying to get away, so they don’t tell anyone what’s really going on and pretend that everything is fine because they think that things are going to get better because their partner said they would never hurt them again and they believe them even though their partners never change.
I am majoring in Social Work and these are the two areas that i am the most passionate about. I want to make the world better for children that need a home and women to be strong and independent that don’t need to be treated badly by their significant other. The goals i would set to make this dream a reality is to go to college and get my bachelors degree as well as internship at centers for domestic violence and a office for foster care as well to get experience in those two fields.
