The one thing I love doing most in the world is helping people who need it more than I do. From lending my less fortunate friends some money I don’t expect back, to volunteering at food pantries, to even working with someone with special needs which I have done for over a year now, it makes me feel great about myself as a person knowing I have made the world a little better place even if it is just one person at a time.
I want to live my life enjoying what I do, and I know as long as I am helping people that dream will come true. This is the reason I have decided to work in a radiation oncology department as a medical dosimetrist. Creating the best possible treatment plans to treat cancer patients with radiation therapy is something I know will be rewarding to me. I can put my God-given natural intelligence to good use in this complex field while doing what I love most – helping the people who need it most.
My name may not be in headlines across the world saying how I have changed it, but I will change the lives and possibly mean the world to the patients I ensure get the best treatment possible for the management of their cancer. Changing the world is a group effort, and I plan on doing everything I can to do my part and make the world a better place, one person at a time.
