A Pisces is a dreamer. A Pisces is kind and compassionate to other’s needs. A Pisces will go out of their way to be sincere, honest and respectful. A Pisces is a hard worker who will stop at nothing to achieve his or her goals. I am a Pisces.

Staying dedicated to continuing my education means a step closer to receiving my CUNY Queens College diploma. However, that isn’t the only reason driving me to finish school. Basic human rights violations such as violence against women, sexual assault in the military or human trafficking motivate me to graduate with top honors and hopefully attend Columbia Law School or the Washington College Law, American University. The next step would be to put all the skills I have acquired through internships and jobs to work for a non-profit human rights organization or law firm while hopefully starting a family. I know that the journey will never be over, but my goal to be that one difference to upstart a whole movement, like the others who tried to end the injustices. I know I can create positive change in the world through letting suppressed voices speak volumes.
Receiving an education is much more than reading, writing and basic arithmetic. It’s about growing intellectually, embodying passion for change, hungering for wisdom and becoming selfless. It’s about overcoming the fear of failure and plunging headfirst into the unknown. It’s about choosing a career you love and can fully commit to forever.

I am a Pisces.
