Learning Adventures: Things for Kids to do in Los Angeles

What if you’re looking for things for kids to do in Los Angeles that are more than just fun? After all, some of the most memorable experiences in childhood are the ones where you are learning something new and having fun at the same time. Here are some easy ways you can be a super-parent by taking your kids on one of these awesome learning adventures!

Kidspace Children’s Museum

Known for being Southern California’s premier children’s museum, Kidspace has enough activities to entertain and enlighten kids and toddlers. Little ones can enjoy interactive learning and toddler classes. Bigger kids can explore science play in the Galvin Physics Forest or the Imagination Workshop. Kidspace also offers camps and group classes which are a great way to stave off summertime boredom.

More than 100 types of marine life call the Santa Monica Aquarium home, including both plants and animals. Plus, you can make a day of it and explore the other fun attractions on the Santa Monica Pier, including a ride on the ferris wheel.

Visiting a farm is a great way to teach your kids more about how plants grow and where our food comes from. Underwood Family Farms also gives you and your family the opportunity to pick your own veggies or go on an educational farm tour. The farm also has a petting zoo, summer camps, and birthday parties.

Griffith Observatory

Since 1935, the Griffith Observatory has been the best place to observe space and learn more about the night sky in Los Angeles. Attend a Star Party, see a show in the planetarium, or look through one of the observatories many public telescopes. Kids can learn about stars and other planets, and the observatory is a great place to awaken curiosity about science.
