You will leave with a firm foundation for what ever you wish to continue in..
On average a student will complete a book in about a years or less.
I have played all genres of music at one time or another, but my favorite is playing in a old style Big Band. There is nothing sweeter than a band playing the blues and swing, even better when there is a floor for dancing . I have far more training and exposure on the woodwind instruments because of my background, but will teach the others instruments gladly.
I have taught piano, on and off, since high school.
I served as a professional accompanist, and also organist choir master for 6 years in Kansas City.
Students learn music theory as applied to the keyboard, sight-reading, improvisation and the application of classical technique to modern styles.
