About David

David P. began formal training with St. Elizabeth’s church organist on piano at age eight.  His older brothers and sisters taught him how to play guitar at home, and at school he was a featured vocal soloist at concert performances.  During his high school years, he began playing drums and singing at shows around the greater Cincinnati area.  While attending Xavier University, David continued to play in several groups.  He performed with the Xavier University Choir for four years under the direction of conductor and music department chair Helmut Roerig.  David performed with the Xavier University Percussion Ensemble and studied drums with John Gardner of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra for four years.  He studied voice with Harriet Beebe and piano with Rebecca Slater among ...

Terrific Teacher

He is a stupendous teacher. He makes his students feel comfortable, which is essential for optimal performance, without being excessively lax. The diaphragmatic breathing technique he began our first lesson with has proven to be incredibly valuable in signing and in my life in general.

Has a gifted teaching ability

David has been an excellent teacher for my young children. He is patient, encouraging, and has a good teaching method. My children made good progress and although they were skeptical about taking lessons, once they had a lesson with David, they continued to come back and made very good progress.

David is an incredible teacher and mentor. I recommend him without any reservations.

David is not only gifted at building your talent and ability - he will help you build your confidence. I took weekly singing lessons with David, starting with no experience at all, and he took me to a place I never thought I could be. Lessons are relaxed, efficient, and directed at your own pace, and David has a way of making you very comfortable with his patient, kind demeanor. He is a diamond in the rough, and easily worth 2x the money.
Margaret O. Cincinnati, OH

I have been teaching guitar for the last 7 years. Originally a classical trained pianist I became the leader of an ensemble which included several guitarists. If order to lead them I had to learn how they think. So I bought a guitar and started learning from them. My method of teaching combines my classical background from the piano with styles used in playing with the ensemble. Most guitarists don't read music but my students learn to read music from the very beginning. Music theory is one of my strengths and I pass that on to my students.

About Margaret

I have taught the piano along with guitar and voice for over 40 years, since I was 16 years old. I started lessons at 9 and continued lessons while I began teaching beginners at a music studio. Since then I have had many different experiences with all kinds of students. I love sharing the gift of music with my students. My goal is to give them a wonderful musical experience and allow them to expand their knowledge of music in a structured manner and can grow to become a casual or professional musician. *** Lesson Details *** I adjust my teaching style to the students goals. I like to say I am laid back but do expect progress each week. I can teach the piano for beginner to advanced students. Some students are college bound and need to learn the disciplines of music. Other students ...

Best Teacher I Had

I had a few teachers growing up and she was by far the best and I learned the most from her. As well as teaching the fundamentals and essentials to learning, she also allowed for a lot of flexibility and creativity to learn different styles of music. Also as I got older we could just discuss a lot of subjects on music and was genuinely fun. Had a huge impact in my playing and then also future teaching of piano.

Margaret is one of the most skilled teachers, pianists, and vocalists I've ever met. I've worked with her often over the years, and she's always been prepared and accomplished, taking her job seriously, yet enjoying it.

About Richard

From a young age I was interested in being an artist and/or performer. I enjoy all types of artistic creation and dabble with writing, photography, painting, and clothing design. At the age of twelve, I began playing the guitar and 38 years later, I feel I am still learning to play the instrument. My musical style can best be described as a blend of Big Band, Country, and Rock. However, visitors to my performances, quite often tell me that I am difficult to categorize. Most recently, I was told that I am "way out side the box" and "refreshingly unique". I make no conscious effort to be different or to produce commercially acceptable material. I am just doing what I feel.
