Singing is a complex coordination of breathing, phonation, resonation and articulation, overlaid with musical and performance layers. This process needs to be guided by an instructor who is knowledgeable in the vocal processes and anatomy, as well vocal styles and performance.Vocal development progresses as the body strengthens and growing musical skills demand more from the vocal instrument. We'll work together to find your true voice.

My lessons build beginners from a point of zero or basic knowledge of Spanish to the point at which they will feel comfortable reading intermediate texts, chatting with native speakers, and understanding the majority of content they find online such as YouTube videos or podcasts. We will use a communicative approach founded upon comprehensible input, which research has shown is the most effective method for true acquisition of a language, as opposed to simply learning about the language. We will mostly be working through Language Transfer materials, along with various curated sources of comprehensible input, which is perfect both for people with no prior Spanish experience or for people who have studied Spanish previously through more traditional methods and wish to fill the gaps in their knowledge. Upon completion of this text and other supplementary materials, you will be at a solid intermediate level.

Most importantly, the lessons are incredibly engaging, and Raphael ensures that the way in which you go through the material and learn is matched to your ability, whilst teaching you practical use of the language.
I was initially somewhat apprehensive about learning languages online, and about the somewhat different "immersion" approach suggested by Raphael, but after a little while now I can say that with Raphael as my teacher, it has been far more effective in a shorter period than any extended period of university study or self-directed study has been for me before!
Yes! I finally get it, all thanks to Raphael Turrigiano. I’ve learned more from Raphael in only a few weeks than I’ve ever had in years of trying to self-teach and even taking college courses.
Trust in his process. With Raphael’s lesson plans, guidance, and support, he will help you build a strong foundation in your Italian language learning skills.
My first day meeting with Raphael, I was nervous and not sure if I was going to be able to learn much since I have failed many times before, but he was so kind, friendly, professional, informative, and fun. I instantly felt comfortable with him. He assured me that I was going to learn the Italian language and all was going to be okay. It’s been a pleasure working with him since.
My lessons with Raphael are very informative. He is extremely knowledgeable, observant, has quickly mastered how I learn and explains the language to me to where I understand it. In addition, he shares fun facts, culture, and history about the language along the way. Plus, he is teaching me how to speak like a native. Raphael an amazing teacher and will help you.
