I have been teaching professionally for 4 years, and playing for 20. I believe that music lessons should not be a stressful experience, because music is fun! While the lessons will build on technique, music theory, and music history, we will play songs that the students are interested in so that they want to continue playing. I teach all types of genres, and I also can help with audition preparation.

About Victoria

I have a Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University in Music. At CMU, I played both piano and upright bass. I received a Master's Degree from Arizona State University in Musicology. I am a string specialist. That means I teach and play violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, ukulele and piano. I earned B.A. earned from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley Colorado where I was a double major in classical guitar and double bass. In my senior year I was the recipient of the Annual Concerto Contest where I performed the "Concerto in A Major" on double bass with the University orchestra for the spring concert. I have played in both professional and semi-professional orchestras in Colorado and Arizona. I believe that any student will practice more if he or she likes the music they are playing. Periodically I will ask a student to give me a name of a piece of music that they would like to learn how to play. I notate it for them, often simplifying the rhythm and chords in Finale NotePad and give it to them free of charge. I teach students how to play music on their given instrument. Not just how to play the instrument but working on ...

Victor has been an amazing teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable not only about violin, but about practically every other stringed instrument there is. He also has an amazing grasp of musical theory, and has really helped me learn about my instrument. He has also helped me grow as a student. He keeps me interested in the music, and still challenges me to keep improving. I have had other music teachers, but he is definitely the best I've had.

I am so excited to start this new music adventure and Victor is so patient and very kind eventhough I know NOTHING yet and he really has to start from zero. I know he will help me make it happen, no matter how slowly I learn.

Maggie is an incredible teacher! My daughter has been taking lessons with her for 3 months now and she has improved so much. My daughter is in high school and has been playing for a few years now. She wanted to be more serious so we started taking lessons with Maggie. She has so much fun every lesson and I can hear her improve every time she practices after a lesson. Maggie makes playing the bass so fun. My daughter is always so excited and I can’t wait to see where this will lead to next.

Maggie has expert knowledge about the double bass from studying with members of the best orchestras in the US. Her teaching lead me to achieve things on the instrument that I didn't know I could do. I highly recommend her as a teacher!

"Can't say enough great things about Daniel. We are very experienced when it comes to music teachers, my daughter (9) has been learning Suzuki violin for 5 years with multiple teachers and last year she decided to also start taking Bass. Her lessons are both challenging yet inspiring at the same time- a combination that is hard to do. Daniel listens to the student and has a natural knack for knowing how to change up the lesson when needed while still focusing on building a solid foundation. He understands that playing an instrument also needs a growing appreciation for music/songs that the instrument can play and he continues to grow her repertoire of song styles far beyond the classical that she is used to. Most importantly she looks forward to her lessons and loves playing to songs she is learning."
