I have taught over 30 math students at all levels, elementary through high school and college, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus and standardized test math (ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, ASVAB, GED).

I have turned D's and F's into B's and A's. Let me show you how successful you or your child can be!

About Matthew
Dear Parents and Students,

May I be a personal tutor for you or your child? I have been successfully tutoring for over 12 years. I have great references, and I am one of the top tutors because I am so easy to work with. I teach in person, or via TakeLessons classroom, telephone, Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Join.me, Appear.in, Screenhero (remote desktop, screen sharing) interactive whiteboards, as well as email attachments (PDF, Word, Excel, etc.) I graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University, where I made the Dean's List. I also earned a Provost Academic Scholarship for my excellent test scores, including 34 in ACT mathematics and 780 in SAT mathematics.

In addition to teaching for Cleveland schools, I currently teach 20 private sessions each week, 1st through 12th grade, as well as college stud
ents and business professionals. I have also served on the faculty at Cuyahoga Community College.

I am patient, friendly and many students tell me that I explain concepts more effectively than their teachers. I am available weekdays or weekends, days or nights, throughout the entire year. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding my experience and teaching methods. While it should go without saying, I have a clean background that has been verified by the FBI and BCII. Let me know if you would like to set up an introductory lesson to design a customized strategy. There is no obligation to continue unless a customer is 100% satisfied.

I am one of the Top Five Tutors for:
1. most diverse subject matter
2. widest student age range
3. farthest geographical regions
4. largest client base
5. most hours taught monthly

Please note: I have set up my billing in thirty minute increments. Thus, I am able to offer lessons of varying lengths. However, I would appreciate longer sessions. I thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to being at your service!

Our son's Algebra tests have improved significantly with these tutoring sessions. Matthew did a great job accessing current knowledge level and working to catch our son up on what he did not understand as well as helping prepare for ongoing quizzes and tests. Very pleased and will continue with the tutoring!

Excellent first lesson. Alex learned more in this one lesson than he did in 3 lessons with a different teacher. Thank you.

Matthew is an excellent teacher. He's got the skill and patience to get the material across in a very clear way. I absorbed the material easily even though I was pretty new to this.

Traci is a fantastic teacher because she is a fantastic dancer. She knows how to guide you whether you are overcoming an injury or trying to take your dancing to the next level. Traci takes ballet seriously but with lots of humor and grace!

I reached out to Traci to brush up on my ballet technique when I was preparing for an audition. She is a wonderful teacher! Her corrections are always specific and very helpful. Working with her has really boosted my technique and made me feel more confident walking into dance calls.

As a Math teacher, I believe that an important part of the teacher role is to conduct each student's learning progress and support it. I also believe that interpersonal interaction, exploration and enjoyment should be an important part of the learning process, so my lessons usually progresses through student research, conversations, and achieving new knowledge by using their existing knowledge.

About Adina
This days I am working as a teacher in an after school program in Brookline. I have recently finished all of the requirements for my second BA in Mathematics education and teaching certificate . My first degree is in Industrial Engineering and Management.
After working for several years in the industry as an information system analyst I decided to combine my knowledge of Math and Engineering with my passion for teaching and working with children and completed a unique education certification program for graduates called “Mabatim” which includes a second BA in Education and a teacher certification. My teaching experience includes student teaching of Mathematics at the middle school and high school level and two years of working as a teacher working with new immigrants and children from disadvantaged backgrounds between the first and six
th grade.

About M.
Over the past year, I have taken time to be a peer educator with the Education and Outreach at Arizona State University, while I have also enjoyed the demands of being a senior design student. Not only have these positions allowed me to mature greatly, they have also aided my inter-personal skills. Although I have demonstrated my capability to excel academically, I am fully aware that it is only in combination with my wit, diligence, tenacity, intuitive and problem-solving skills that my scholastic knowledge can be applied effectively.

I am a chemical engineer and as an engineer, you can never ignore maths because Mathematics is the language of physical science and engineering, Mathematics is more than tool for solving problems; mathematics courses can develop intellectual maturity. Mathematics is a part of everyone's life. Every student should experience the thrill of mathematical discovery. Every teacher can appreciate the elegance of a great mathematical insight.I also offer tutoring services in Prealgebra, Algebra 1;2, Pre calculus, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry. My experience in tutoring Maths have led me to compile my own practice sheets in each topic that has helped the students in so many years. My teaching philosophy is straightforward: teach your students as you would want to be taught - with enthusiasm, and with a passion for the subject combined with respect and understanding for the students. About Alisha
I have been tutoring for over 8 years now, My teaching philosophy is straightforward: teach your students as you would want to be taught - with enthusiasm, and with a passion for the subject combined with respect and understanding for the student. Chemistry and maths is a subject that I have studied, practiced, taught and enjoyed over the last 8 years Effective teaching involves time, dedication, patience, understanding, firmness, and a sense of humor. True learning incorporates active participation by the student, inside as well as outside the classroom.

Guiding students through the maze of chemical symbols, equations and concepts can only be accomplished by giving the students the means and opportunity to take charge of their own learning reinforced by an appropriate reward system. My main focus is to teach in a way that will re
ach all my students. I enjoy the challenge of working not only with different learning styles, but very different backgrounds, from honors students to students who have taken the course unsuccessfully before. Chemistry is difficult for most students, therefore they must be able to make mistakes, learn from them, and in the end be rewarded for their efforts and the chemical knowledge they acquired.
For a truly successful learning community, the importance of open two-way communication is emphasized in my class. This only happens if there is mutual respect.

My philosophy inextricably entwines my enthusiasm and passion for the subject of chemistry and maths with my respect and high regard for all students irrespective of their grades. It is particularly rewarding when students become majors or minors because of my class, which happens on occasion, or go on into professional school.

Alisha is extremely well-informed and an expert in Organic Chemistry. She knows exactly what she is talking about and, more importantly, *understands* it and can articulate the concepts in a way that is easy to comprehend. She is patient with me and is willing to go slowly on practice problems so I can fully grasp the concepts and theory. I would hire Alisha again in a heartbeat.
