About Chelsea

I have taught music lessons online, at my house, and at various music stores, including Music & Arts and Guitar Center. I have a Master's in Music Technology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and a Bachelor's in Music (Technology and Recording) from the University of Indianapo

We sent music to Chelsea in advance and she was able to help my son with the difficult parts of his music. The time was well spent and she explained things well. We look forward to our next lesson and working with her over the next month to help him catch up.

David was my first online clarinet coach and you cannot have a better teacher when you want to learn quickly and correctly. I took 13 lessons and it changed my life as a clarinetist. I highly recommend David.

there are many clarinet players. Some are good, few can teach, and a minuscule amount are both. You have just found one of those few. This man has judged at international competitions, and has incredible patience and memory. He has studied under an understudy of the founder of the american school of thought for clarinetists, and always knows what you need to know, even if you are only in 8th grade.

This is the one.

David is flexible and geared towards the needs of the individual student. I am returning to the clarinet after more than a 40-year absence and he is able to accommodate my requirements. He is friendly and makes the student feel at ease. I look forward to more lessons with him.

Corey was a great instructor for my 4th grader. We wanted him to keep up with his clarinet lessons over Summer break. My son gets very easily frustrated when he struggles and Corey handled it all very well, always giving a new suggestion on what he could do to improve. In just 5 short lessons, Corey helped my son with his embouchure, finger placement, tounging and my son was finally able to play his B and C notes. That had really been holding him back from playing lots of music. Highly recommended!

He always tries to make a fun and worthwhile experience everyone should appreciate the great teacher that he is.

Mr. Ames is an amazing teacher! He helped me land a spot in the all district band my freshman year in high school and constantly pushed me to strive and be my best. I highly recommend him for anyone that is looking to have fun and be a better clarinet player.

The clarinet is often referred to as the most challenging woodwind instrument. So, in lessons, we'll be sure to cover all the basics of tone production, breath support musicality, and technique to ensure a solid foundation to build upon. I tend to teach these concepts through the use of various exercises and etude/method and duet books which are important for musical development and also fun!

About Bill

Bill is multi-instrumentalist, jazz musician, composer, arranger and educator. He developed a strong connection to music early in life through some family tradition, encouraging parents and many inspiring and influential teachers. In lessons, I will teach students how to develop an embouchure and make sound, have proper technique, discuss equipment care, how to read music and develop note recognition, and ultimately, play music. The goal is to get my students playing with proper technique, so that this will carry on throughout their career and playing of the instrument. After getting some sounds out of the instrument and having decent technique, students will be assigned 1-2 songs to work on each lesson. It is the learning of music on one's own, that I believe, truly challenges the student to continue to apply information given in lessons.
