I began piano lessons at four years of age, and was blessed to have an amazing piano teacher, who taught me for 14 years. She gave me a passion to teach others and impart to them a love for music. I have carried on that calling and taught hundreds of adults and children over the last 30 years. I am very thorough in my method and customize each lesson around the goals and dreams of each student. I incorporate theory, ear training and technical into all my lessons, regardless of the style of music they are learning. This gives my students an all-round musical education and appreciation for this wonderful gift they have in their hands.

I have experience in the professional music world as a pianist and french horn player, performing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera Chorus and Orchestra, Sydney Sinfonia, Sydney Philharmo
nic Orchestra and Choir, as well as productions of "Cats", "Phantom of the Opera", Sesame Street, and touring all over Australia, U.S.A. and Israel. I have also been a part of the worship teams at Hillsong Church and C3 Church Australia.

I studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and also received my Licentiate Diploma from the Trinity College of London (L.T.C.L.) in French Horn (Teaching) and Licentiate Diploma from the Trinity College of London (L.T.C.L.) in Piano (Performance). So my experience not only comes from an inspiring teacher, but also from hundreds of performances on stages across the world working with the finest of musicians, singers, conductors and worship leaders.

I love music, and more so, love imparting it to others.

Students come away from their lessons inspired and excited about their ability to accomplish their dreams. Whether it is to play 'Phantom of the Opera' or an Adele song, Debussy's Claire De Lune or Jingle Bells, I show them how to do it and help them get there. Anthony M., clarinetist and multi woodwind performer, has extensive experience as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician and teacher. As founder and co-director of the New York based, Rosewood Chamber Ensemble, Dr. M was a winning participant in the 1980 Artist International Chamber Music Award. For their prize, the Rosewood Ensemble premiered at Carnegie Hall’s Weil Recital Hall and went on to develop its own subscriptions series in Queens, New York, which lasted over twelve seasons. Dr. M. was artist in residence at the Bay View Music Festival in Petosky, Michigan for three summers and was solo clarinetist with the group Quintessence from 1990-1993. He has performed with the Phoenix Symphony, Northwood Orchestra, the Arizona Broadway Theatre Company, and is a member of the Symphony of the West Valley in Sun City Arizona, and
the Musica Nova Orchestra, where he plays clarinet and bass clarinets.
In addition to Clarinet, Dr. M. has performed on Recorder, Flute and Saxophone, both as a theatre musician and an ensemble member. He has performed with such artists as Ray Charles, Jamie Foxx, Doc Sevrensen, Lew Rawls, Wynona Judd and others in various groups and venues in Arizona and New York.
Anthony has recorded on the Summit, Con Brio, and Blue Butterfly record labels. He was featured on a Trimark Pictures Release playing the clarinet, bass clarinet and contrabass clarinet for the movie, “Warlock the Armagedon.”Currently, he is on the faculty of the Rosie’s House, A Music Academy for Children. Anthony holds degrees from Queens College of the City University of New York, the Manhattan School of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from Arizona State University.

*** Lesson Details ***
All my lessons are centered on where the student is in his/hers musical development. I will in the first few lessons, assess the student's level and then proceed to recommend a course of study. I am process driven and always try to have my students understand my method so I do try to explain all my reasoning regarding the course of study I prescribe. Every student is different so I approach each individual with total respect for their unique ability and talent.

In addition to the standard music stands, metronome, tuners and music, I have digital recording equipment for student's audition recordings. I have helped college bound students get into serious music programs like Northwestern University, Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. Our son is taking trumpet lessons with William & is learning rhythm, etc. Those things he didn't get in Kansas; the elementary school students learned just the basics. We know the kids have to start somewhere, but we're so glad our son is learning things he won't find in school. William has an impressive teaching background; it blows my mind that he can play all of these instruments!

I've had 3 lessons with Bill. He is very knowledgeable and believes in teaching the basics of music so that you have a better understanding of how it all goes together. It is a great pleasure to work with him and I expect to do so for a long time. By the way I am nearly 78 years old and have played the clarinet off and on since I was in 5th grade. And now I am being taught the foundation of music for the first time which I have always needed. It is going to make my appreciation of playing so much greater in the future.

Hello there! If you are reading this then you or your child must be interested in learning how to read and play music. I am so excited for the journey you are about to begin!

My name is Amy and I am a certified music teacher. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelors degree in instrumental music education and I also earned my Master's degree in Band Conducting at American Band College via Sam Houston University in 2015. My primary instrument is clarinet. I have taught instrumental music for 12 years in the valley.

I enjoy teaching students of all ages and abilities, especially beginners! I teach beginner lessons in piano and brass instruments, beginner to intermediate level woodwinds, and beginner to advanced high-school level clarinet.

*** Lesson Details ***

Lessons with me will be tailored to e
ach student's needs and goals, however note and rhythm reading will be a strong component in each lesson - especially for beginners. I have a very laid back and patient personality but I do feel that practice at home is very important and expect it from my students in order to give them the best chance at success.

As a general rule, young students (under 12 years of age) as well as anyone with less than a year of experience on the instrument will likely do best with a 30 minute lesson. More advanced students may opt for the longer 45 minute lesson.

Students with intermediate or advanced ability on their instrument will have the opportunity to have lessons directed towards specific interests such as preparing for chair placement tests, honor band auditions, or solo and ensemble festivals.

*** Required Equipment ***

I have a full size (88 key) digital piano with attached pedal in my home studio for lessons. It is extremely important that students taking piano lessons have an instrument to practice at home - a keyboard is fine if an electric or acoustic piano is not available.

Students playing wind instruments will need to bring their own instrument and supplies (reeds, oil) to their lessons.

Students should rent or purchase an instrument prior to beginning lessons. If you are uncertain what brands are best I would be happy to provide assistance so please don't hesitate to ask any questions that you have before making a decision.

*****Parents and Guardians*****

Parents are welcome to run errands,take a walk, or stay in the car during lessons if that is their preference, just be sure to return on time.

There are comfy chairs to put your feet up and magazines for parents who like to stay for the lessons.

Dr. Carl S. will be teaching at Oklahoma State University as a Lecturer of Saxophone and Music Theory during Dr. Jeffrey Loeffert's sabbatical beginning August 2017. He is currently a member of the North American Saxophone Alliance, the Jazz Education Network, Music Teachers National Association, treasurer of the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors, and an Honorary Member of Tau Beta Sigma. He has held previous memberships with Kappa Kappa Psi, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Kappa Delta Pi, and the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association.

While at KU, Carl was also a graduate teaching assistant for the saxophone studio and jazz studies program. His responsibilities included Assistant Director of the KU Jazz Festival, directing Jazz Ensembles II-III, directing Jazz Combo III-VI, assisting with the KU Jazz Festival, directing Saxophone Quartets II-III, teaching private saxophone lessons, assisting in saxophone studio class, and teaching the music education woodwind methods course. His Lecture Recital Document, A Performer’s Analysis of Selected Jazz Works for Saxophone Quartet, featured an interview with Bob Mintzer. Carl was a member of KU Jazz Ensemble I, KU Saxophone Quartet I, and KU's Helianthus New Music Ensemble. As a member of KU's Jazz Ensemble 1, Carl has performed with Dave Douglas, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Alex Sipiagin, Steve Owen, Gary Foster, Steve Houghton, Clint Ashlock, David von Kampen, Peter Epstein, Jeff Miley, James Miley, Roger Shew, and Brian Hamada, Brandon Draper, Rich Wheeler, Beau Bledsoe, Jeff Harshbarger, and Matt Otto. In July 2014, Carl went on a European tour with KU Jazz Ensemble I featuring Steve Leisring and Deborah Brown. Together, they performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Vienne Jazz Festival in France, and performed in several cities in Germany. Recordings by this band resulted in KU winning the DownBeat Student Award (Graduate College Large Jazz Ensemble Division) in 2015.

While at OSU, Carl was a GTA for the saxophone studio and music theory programs. His responsibilities included Music Theory I-IV tutoring and grading, sight-singing grading, piano labs, classical and jazz saxophone lessons, saxophone quartet coaching, saxophone studio Webmaster, and saxophone studio class. Carl was a member of the OSU Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble 1. He had a regularly performing jazz trio and played in OSU's X2End saxophone quartet. The X2End quartet performed locally at the 2011 Navy Band Saxophone Symposium in Washington D.C., at the 2011 NASA Region IV Conference, and has won the state and division rounds of the 2010-2011 MTNA Chamber Music Competition. The X2End quartet went on to win the 3rd place prize at the national final round of the MTNA Chamber Music Competition. They also were the Division II Chamber Ensemble winners at the 2011 Hubbard Music Competition where they were awarded the 2nd place prize in the overall finals. Carl's final degree paper at OSU was a study of composer/performer collaboration. He traveled to Texas, Michigan, and Ohio to interview saxophonists and composers including David Dees, Peter Fischer, John Sampen,Marilyn Shrude, Joe Lulloff, and Charles Ruggiero. He has presented his lecture at the 2011 Navy Band Saxophone Symposium, the 2011 NASA Region IV Conference, and the 2012 OSU Single Reed Summit. As a member of OSU's Jazz Ensemble 1, he has performed with Bob Sheppard, Conrad Herwig, Wayne Bergeron, and Andy Martin.

While at SWOSU, Carl performed as a member of the marching band, wind ensemble, Jazz Ensemble A, saxophone quartet, and his own jazz combo named Five-Seven. As a member of SWOSU's Jazz Ensemble A, he has performed with Dan Haerle, Bob Bowman, Jack Mouse, Fred Forney, Janice Borla, Eddie Daniels, Pamela York, Lynn Seaton, Carl Allen, Dr. Michael Cox, Tom Williams, Dr. Robert Chambers, Dave Hanson, Drori Mondlak, Delores Williams, Byron Stripling, Frank Wess, Kenny Drew Jr.,Dennis Mackrel, Bill Watrous, Rich Eames, Jennifer Leitham, and Randy Drake.

At the 10th Annual SDSU/Brookings Optimist Jazz Festival in 2015, Carl directed SDSU Jazz Ensemble I's premier of Dog, Tired by David von Kampen.

​Dr. Carl is a Conn-Selmer Endorsing Artist. He hosted the North American Saxophone Alliance Region 3 (ND, SD, NE, MN, IA) Conference at South Dakota State University on March 17-18, 2017. On Saturday, April 8, 2017, Carl performed Dreams in the Dusk by David Biedenbender with South Dakota State University's Wind Symphony, directed by Dr. Jacob Wallace. On Monday, February 6, 2017, Carl will be performed the premiere of Lhotse for alto saxophone and percussion by Steve Danyew with Dr. Aaron Ragsdale.

My name is Stephanie, I am a teaching-artist from El Paso, Texas. I currently reside, perform and teach in the Boston and greater Boston area.

I am a recent graduate of The New England Conservatory of Music with my Masters in Saxophone Performance. I received my Bacherlors in Music Education from New Mexico State University.

Stephanie is not only an incredible saxophonist, but a great teacher as well. She's cheerful and upbeat and really encouraging! I really enjoyed working with her over the course of a semester on a directed goal. I found her teaching methodology to be very flexible and she was open to finding different ways to help me learn to play a vibrato. I also learned many technical details about playing saxophone that surprised me and made me a better player. I would recommend her with enthusiasm.

I'm a senior citizen without a shred of innate musical talent. LOL The idea of being able to improvise the blues on a saxophone was a wild and unattainable fantasy….until I met Rick. I had already checked out lots of other jazz saxophone teachers online so I knew within the first few lessons that Rick​ was unique. He was able to simplify my problems and help me make great progress right away. With enthusiasm, this celebrated musician took me through all the baby steps - first to get a respectable sound, and then through his ingenious system of improvisation. I'm moving at what I would say is warp speed in learning to improvise, already reaching levels of soloing that were only in my dreams. But the real bonus on top of Rick's fantastic teaching method and system is Rick the man, and the relationship this star musician forms with a student. His humility amazes me at every lesson. Knowing how valuable his time must be, the fact that he encourages me to send recordings between lessons, and sends feedback on each one, is testament to how much he truly cares about a student's progress. It's a gift he generously gives. He is also a genius at how much criticism and how much encouragement a particular student needs. Could there possibly be a better teacher than Rick Rossi? I don't think so.

Hi, I love to teach children as young as 3 years old using my own Brain-Based Piano Method, a Mindful and Comprehensive Approach. My method is fun, engaging, effective and practical. My students learn to understand how music works. They learn from early on the basics of music: ear training, music theory, form, piano technique, reading and writing notes, and more. But more than anything else, I encourage my students to be creative from the very beginning. My method is a complete system for learning the piano that includes books, CDs, rewards, teaching materials and video tutorials accessible online. My goal is that my students learn how to perform with confidence and to create their own music. My daughter loves going to piano class, and asks when she is going back. I am amazed by the things that she has learned so quickly, and in such a short period of time. Each class introduces her to something new, or allows her to strengthen her skills in a new way. This method of teaching piano is so innovative because my daughter has learned how to play the right and left hand of a musical score with clapping and body movements. She has also learned to conduct, play with 5 fingers, and sing songs. All of this, and she has only had 4 classes. The connection to math and reading are amazing, and are evident during each moment. Highly recommended.

Our family experience with Leidys and Mihai was a wonderful one. They know how to incorporate the children into the classroom and made them feel important, which is great for the children's development. They were very kind and loving to my children. They are great people who are generous of their time and knowledge. They look forward to building bonds not only with the children, but also with the whole family. They give tips and suggestions on Music Education. They became friends to us and to my children! We highly recommend them to instill in children the love of Music in all its forms. They also provide piano classes for adults and their method is great!!! Only great things can be said about these amazing and caring teachers!!

I am so impressed with the BRAIN-BASED PIANO METHOD! I've had the opportunity to also be included in my 3-year-old granddaughter's piano lessons, and I'm amazed at what she has learned in just 5 lessons! This method is developmentally appropriate, and the lessons are so much fun!
My granddaughter greatly enjoys practice time and looks forward to her next lesson. As an early childhood teacher, I value the fact that it includes other activities besides just sitting and playing the piano. This is an excellent method, and one that I highly recommend!
