I was born in the Republic of Korea - commonly known as South Korea. I started my linguistics career as a tutor and an instructor and have made my way up through working as a textbook writer, interpreter, translator, and voice-over into the position I am in now.

I have taught students from various backgrounds, Koreans, Americans, Korean-Americans, Chinese from age 5 to as old as a professor in his 50s. I am able to customize the lesson to fit the needs of the student and capitalizing on my skills as a cultural consultant, am able to provide a mend in the cultural gap, and not solely on linguistics.

About Jamee
Professional Korean linguist, liaison and cultural consultant. I started my linguistics career as a tutor and an instructor and have made my way up through working as a textbook writer, interpreter, translator, voice-over into the position I am in now. Full-blooded Korean, I was born in Republic of Korea - commonly known as South Korea - but was tossed back and forth from Korea to United Kingdom. From a young age, I was forced to be bilingual and forced to mend cultural gaps and balance two very different cultures. Thus something I have learnt from a very young age and gained professional knowledge on as I have worked in the industry. I have a passion for teaching and one of the services I offer as a cultural consultant is employee relocation training for businessmen and engineers.

I am able to customize the lesson to fit the needs of the student and capitalizing on my skills as a cultural consultant, am able to provide a mend in the cultural gap, and not solely on linguistics. You will find that I am an encouraging teacher, but if you do not have a desire to learn, I will not have a desire to teach.

Based on Suyeon's supportive personality and question-based approach, I feel gently challenged to try using new vocabulary, verbs, and constructions in every class. There is a lot to learn, but it doesn't seem beyond reach. I will keep up my effort and aim for ever-higher levels of the language.

I am a recent graduate from Northern Arizona University, but spent all of my childhood living in Seoul, South Korea. Because of this I have become tri-lingual (English, Korean, Japanese). While at university, I was the vice-president and a teacher of the Korean Club which specialized at teaching university students how to speak, write, and read the Korean language since the university did not offer classes. Being from, and spending my life in Korea, I am very familiar with the culture which would greatly help me teach you relevant phrases / vocabulary that would be useful in conversation.

About Jeehyae
I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. I spent my first 20 years in Korea. I earned a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Northern Arizona University. While completing my studies at NAU, I was the vice-president of the Korean club teaching college students the Korean language (reading, writing, speaking), and culture.

I have experience teaching Korean to students ranging in skill from beginner to advanced. Students can expect to learn not only the language but also Korean culture and how the language is actually used outside of textbooks.

I also worked at the international office at NAU and Ajou University in Korea. So because of this, I am very experienced in teaching and speaking to students who are either learning English or Korean, and have a strong ability to increase their learning speed.
