Quinton works primarily with beginner to intermediate students putting an emphasis on grammar in a fun and interactive way. After living in South Korea for two years Quint realized that grammar structure was one of the main sticking points that made learning Korean so difficult for English speakers. As a result he uses these practices to help students take their language study to an entirely new level.
Quinton has studied multiple languages ranging from Portuguese and Spanish to Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese. As a native English speaker himself Quint has learned skills and techniques to explain Grammar in a simple yet relatable way for other English speakers. Quint’s philosophy is that the most effective way to learn a language is to have fun with it by talking about the things that spark your interest rather than dry lessons that can cause you to lose interest. I have only taken a few lessons with Quinton, but he has really helped me understand the Korean (Hangul)Grammer, he is really good at explaining everything, and he takes his time and is very patient, I would definitely recommend Quinton especially if you are a beginner or intermediate student!

I've had several lessons with Quinton already and I'm enjoying his open format of following a plan, but not strictly. When I'm curious about something like "What do Koreans think of ...?" or, "How do I pronounce ...?", he will take the time to answer my questions before going back to the curriculum. This format makes learning much more enjoyable for me since it's at my pace. He also provides advice, links and apps on how to study (and learn more Korean) apart from class. Highly recommend him as a teacher.

Hannah is outstanding! She is wonderful! She was highly organized, patient, and she patterned her lesson for 90 minutes for a person who basically had no knowledge of English for a Korean student. Upon completion of the first lesson, she motivated me to work for another 3 hours at the kitchen table in preparation for the next lesson. I am happy.

I have lived in Seoul for a while and have been studying Korean on and off for about a year; Sunho helped me advance my Korean through review and new information. I would definitely recommend Sunho. :D"

"Hello, I have worked at Kodaikanal International School in India for three years. KIS received the #1 school award by Educational World in India in 2013. It’s a co-ed residential school with beautiful surroundings on a high mountain. It was my honor to have my teaching history there with my terrific students and professional colleagues. I would like to share my recommendation from my principal here. You can find the original copy in my photos:

9 May 2012
To Whom It May Concern
It gives me great pleasure to write this recommendation on behalf of Youngju Lee. Youngju has taught Korean language and Arts at Kodaikanal International School since July 2009.

Kodaikanal International School is an international school located in Tamil nadu India in South India since 1901, making it one of the oldest schools in the country. It was originally a school for American missionaries. It has been an international school since 1974 and currently has a student body representing some 30 nationalities drawn primarily from within India but also in lesser numbers from various geographical regions that include countries located in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas. KIS has also been a preferred choice of families of Indian origin settled abroad when they have wanted their children to have exposure to India and Indian culture because of its multicultural approach and the diversity of the staff and student body.

Youngju is an excellent teacher and I have enormous respect for her work in the classroom. She works well with students, is positive influence with the students and is able to encourage them to achieve their best. She uses a variety of approaches in her classes from group and individual work. She establishes a good relationship with her students, explains things carefully, prepares well and has a very effective yet relaxed delivery style. She has a positive rapport with her students and they demonstrate mutual respect and they enjoy learning. Students feel well supported in her class and enjoy her classes. She also cares for her students outside of the classroom and follows up on any concerns she or others may have of an individual.

Youngju has played an active role in extracurricular activities through her participation as chaperone on field trips, organizing events and student activities.

Youngju and her husband Stephen have settled well into the broader community in Kodaikanal and enjoy their life here with their family very much. In conclusion, I believe Youngju would make a good contribution to any school community. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information about Youngju Lee.
I recommend her wholeheartedly as an exceptional teacher and wish her well.
If more job specific information is required please contact me on principal@kis.in or on my mobile #----------.

"MS YOUNGJU IS THE BEST! Thank you so much for helping me finally learn Korean! How fun and interesting it is when someone really knows how to teach. Ms Youngju will guide you at your pace and teach you all you need to know about the language and culture. Soon i will marry my Korean fiancee and it was very important for her family that i learn more about their traditions. After a few weeks, im able to put sentences together and share in dinner table conversations. They are all very proud of my progress. Thank you teacher!"

"Her classes are absolutely wonderful. I'm learning Korean much faster than if I had stuck with self studying alone. Not only is she patient and honest about the mistakes I make but she also works at it until I get the pronunciation right. And believe me when I say that she's had her work cut out for her because I roll my r's and over-pronounce every syllable as, I'm sure, most Americans do. She is a wonderful teacher and really fun. She makes learning a language - which is more than a challenge - enjoyable."
