So much more than a teacher - Ray has become a mentor to my daughter. He not only teaches her the technics of reading and performing music, but encourages her to grow professionally. Most importantly, his excitement and love of music make the lessons so much fun - I hear the (laughing and) improvement in her voice during every lesson.

This was my very first Public Speaking Lesson with Bill. He was patient, supportive, empathic, and optimistic about my potential for success while at the same time being very honest and direct in giving feedback and extremely informative and instructive based on his extensive knowledge and experience as well as gifts in teaching. "HE IS AWESOME

I absolutely adored every second with Jason. Even though I was a complete novice, Jason was patient and created a very friendly environment. He encouraged me to choose the lesson plan. Also, knowing that the banjo is typically understood as a blue-grass and southern sound, he opened my ears to Sabbath on the banjo which blew me away and opened the doors to banjo-heavy metal style. He is very versatile and a kick-butt musician. The man can do anything. He is understanding, fun, and encouraging. He never gave-up on me, always made me feel talented and kept me motivated. I will continue to take lessons from Jason. From never touching an instrument before in my life to jamming T. Rex on the banjo in just a month, shows Jason is one great teacher. YOU ROCK!!"

"Dave is a great instructor and a really cool guy. I'm an adult student, with a job, family responsibilities, etc. Dave really works with my schedule and teaches me exactly what I want to learn, which helps me progress as fast a possible. He works with me to get an understanding of my goals with the piano, and structures each lesson to get me there quickly.

For my money, Dave's instruction is worth every penny."

Cristina has a great blend of warmth, knowledge and discipline that works well for my 6,7, and now 8 year old son. I highly recommend her."

"Lena is PHENOMENAL! I've been taking lessons with her for 1.5 years and still going! Though she has chapters of curriculum to follow, she tailors her curriculum for each student so that they learn at their own pace, and she doesn't always go in order by chapter either! She gives you what you need when you are ready for it.

Her experience as a teacher, guitarist, singer/songwriter, and performer all come into play during her lessons (at least, for me anyway!). As a new singer/songwriter myself, she not only teaches me guitar at a pace that matches my own, but also provides guidance on vocals, setlist creation, and live or studio performance tips. And she has a seasonal Live Showcase Performance at a local music venue for any of her students that are interested in gaining live performance experience.

Lena is honest and encouraging all at once... which is a hard balance to maintain. I highly respect her as a mentor and musician. If not for her, I never would have discovered my ability to become a singer/songwriter and release my first EP!

Bottom line: if you can get on her lesson roster... DON'T WAIT!"

Violin Scales for Beginners [G Major Scale Tutorial & More!]

One of the most important aspects when learning how to play the violin is understanding scales. Learning scales will give you a solid foundation as you begin to explore new pieces of music.
