I have worked as a drama teacher and actor for 10+ years, hold a BFA in Theater Performance and BA in Education. I have trained with the great Anthony Robert Grasso and Christian Keiber for film technique (as well as several other Shakespearean actors and casting directors.) As an actor I have appeared in multiple award winning short films, the History Channel, and an Amazon Feature Film.

I have tons of knowledge of different acting techniques to pull from to ensure that you are receiving the perfect acting tool box catering to you!

I've worked with many young actors, as well as older and I'm not just offerring acting classes. I'm also happy to provide industry insight to young actors looking for their next move, public speakers who are looking to gain more confidence and impact, and (through my work with Multiple Intelligence Theory) I offer the use of the arts in tutoring to help students in their core subjects!

Improve your improv! Carolyn began working professionally at 8 years old and has since appeared on stage, in national commercials, recorded voiceovers, and booked principal roles in both film and television. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011 from the Boston Conservatory, where she majored in musical theater with an emphasis in directing. She is currently in the hit Off-Broadway shows “My Big Gay Italian Wedding” and “My Big Gay Italian Funeral”.

Character acting is, at least in my eyes, the greatest thrill of the performing arts. Being able to embody the complexities of a person or thing that seems completely different from that of yourself is the ultimate mark of a master of the craft of acting. I like to teach first from an analytical approach, but then evolve into a point where you can learn to feel in the moment as a character requires. Using proven techniques learned over the 17 years I’ve spent in the business we will prepare you to be able to handle a variety of different roles through technique practices and emotional exercises. Improv acting is a completely different realm of theater. It requires you to think on your feet and to be able to turn a situation that meant nothing to you five seconds ago into an entire scene. It explores every corner of your imagination. I will teach you different improv exercises as well as games. I will get you sharp so you're ready for any improv situation.

I believe that acting is for everybody! Through acting, we grow our critical thinking abilities and analysis skills, as well as our ability to communicate effectively. Additionally, acting encourages self-confidence, empathy, and creativity. And of course, practicing a form of self-expression helps to blow off steam and decrease stress.

As an actor, I have experience with a variety of styles, including Shakespeare and Improv, and I am familiar with a number of methods, including Stanislavski, Meisner, Chekhov, Hagen, Alexander Technique, and Margolis Method. I believe in mind-body connection and building an actor’s toolbox for independent performers. I have taught actors of all ages and interests.
