I've been teaching Piano for over 5 years and my students have gone on to successfully play, perform, and understand the instrument. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to lay the groundwork for everything there is to know about the most important part of the piano, THE KEYS! So if you are an absolute beginner and this is the first time you have ever set eyes on a piano, or you have worked with one before and just looking for some reminders, you are DEFINITELY in the right place! You will have a blast while learning all the piano basics! As time goes on you'll be able to play songs, read/understand music notation/theory, play with both hands, improve your technique, and enjoy the instrument to it's fullest potential. I specialize in all styles, including classical and contemporary, typically use several method books, and have a 66 key Casio available for use during our lessons. Students are also encouraged to have access to either a piano or keyboard outside of lessons, and

I have been teaching piano for four years to students of all ages and abilities. I am a classically trained pianist with a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. I've studied music around the world with great teachers, and I'd love to share what I've learned with you!

Learning piano is a skill that will bring you both personal fulfillment as well as bring joy to those around you. I seek to provide a positive and enthusiastic environment in which you can discover this joy. Studying music also improves a person's intellect, work ethic, coordination, and self-esteem.

I strongly believe that the diversity of student experiences and goals should be met with a diversity of teaching methods and materials. No two students are identical, and cannot be taught effectively in the same way. To this end, I tailor the teaching process to each student based on his or her talents and needs. Furthermore, every student has different goals he or she hopes to achieve musically and personally ...

I tailor my teaching approach to my individual students' needs, and help my students pursue the piano at the speed and level of intensity they desire. I am as happy to help beginners take casual lessons as I am to help more advanced students prepare for recitals and auditions. I believe that a varied dose of repertoire with a sprinkling of scales and exercises is essential to any pianist's success. Most importantly, I help my students develop musicality alongside their technical skills.

About Elias

Hello! My name is Elias, I'm a professional pianist, cellist, and orchestra and opera conductor, and I couldn't be more excited to be taking piano, cello, and conducting students of all ages and levels. No matter what you're hoping to get out of your studies, I couldn't be happier to help you along

Elias has been my piano teacher for 5 months and a half. He's very kind, patient, methodical and detail oriented. With his continuous help, I went from zero to playing minuets by Bach and Mozart with ease. I also learned to play scales, arpeggios, progressions and a lot of music theories along the way. In my opinion, what sets him apart is not only does he teaches you how to play, but also teaches you how to phrase music with lines, contrasts, crescendos and decrescendos, making "real" music. I really cannot thank him enough for my progress, and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to play great music!

Piano is the absolute best instrument to learn at an early age. My speciality is working with ages 5-12 as they learn about fingerings, notes, and even a bit of ear-training. Helping students learn to embrace music and even create their own sound is a gift.

It's awesome that he teaches two instruments, because I can have both kids take their lessons in the same place. They have tons of fun learning new songs, and the studio is nice too. Highly recommend him for others!

I enrolled in online lessons with Bruno after seeing his posts on social media. I am glad that I can get such effective lessons with him online, because he is an excellent musician and instructor. He does a great job of demonstrating all the techniques that I need to know and teaching me a lot of different songs. Our lessons have been very productive thus far and I look forward to more!

"My son has taken lesson for almost a year with another instructor way across town. Scott spent an hour with him and had him playing a piece that was more demanding than he has ever don before. He kept my son engaged and learning for the entire hour and he says that he likes his new piano teacher very much."

"Learning to play the piano as been pleasant and engaging!

When I first starting taking lessons with Scott I had never taken piano lessons or even knew how to play. Scott knows classical piano music very well and introduced me to great piano pieces for beginners to get started on learning how to play. The lessons will move at your pace and the challenge will never be no more than you can handle. Now I will most likely make it a long term goal to get better and better thanks to his help."

Why Are Piano Keys Arranged That Way?

When you look at the keys on a piano, a few things pop out right away. First, there are both white and black keys, and second, there is a distinct pattern that the keys on piano repeat. While most modern pianos contain 88 keys, you can find pianos with a shortened range, and even some that increase the number! But why, exactly, are the keys set up like that? We'll explore that in this article. Black and White Keys on Piano Pianos are arranged with white keys for the musical tones of A, B, C …
