I am currently teaching 7th and 8th grade Math at a private school in Buffalo Grove, IL. I love tutoring students of any age, from elementary to high school. It makes me happy when I see the progress they are making. My Master's Degree is in Curriculum and Instructions from Loyola University, Chicago.
At one point in my life I wanted to be a pharmacist, but when I became a teacher, I realized that that is what I was meant to be. I love helping people. I see how much difference it makes in a student's life when he or she starts to feel confident in Math class, starts to get high scores, starts to dream big. Hello! My name is Shanna (pronounced Shawna), and I am a licensed teacher in both Oregon and Washington States in the USA. I have been teaching for over 25 years. I have taught children as young as 3 years old, to adults who were in their 90's! I love teaching! As a requirement for being given a teaching license in both Oregon and Washington, I have had extensive background checks by the various departments of the licensing process, along with yearly background checks for the schools I currently work for.
I currently live about a block from the Pacific Ocean and I love where I live! My husband has retired from the Coast Guard and we are enjoying our time together. Our little dog Mac, is our little baby! He is a mess, but we love him!

No matter which subject you decide to choose, know that my overall goal is to help you enjoy it! Whether that involves looking at actual constellations in the night time sky, learning your favorite song on an instrument, or even finding your new passion in cooking, everything is geared towards you! I will always have a lesson plan ready to go, but if there are specific things you want to go over, great! We'll focus on that! All you have to do is simply know what you want to learn, and I'll work on getting us there!
If you have any questions feel free to send one to me. It can be about basically anything; no holds bard! Even if you feel it might be a dumb/weird question, I will still answer it with zero judgments. A question is a question.

My name is Blake Bradford and I am a senior in high school. I play varsity lacrosse for my high school team and play ultimate frisbee. I recently finished my college application process, where I was required to write a total of 25 (I know, right?) essays. Princeton is my number one choice for college, and wouldn't it be cool to say you're being tutored by someone who is going to Princeton? Anyways, I am able to provide reviews of my services along with my resume upon request.
