Lynzi H.

Glendale, AZ

Want to have fun and learn how to play piano? Then pick me! :)
I do enjoy teaching all age levels and have experience teaching anywhere from 5 to 65 years old. I currently teach group keyboard classes in an afterschool program in public schools in the Deer Valley District. In my lessons you will learn rhythm (so its okay if you don't naturally have rhythm!), sight reading, memorization, ear training, and much more. I help the students pick music at their skill level that they enjoy. Every week you will get excited as you see yourself improving!

About Lynzi

Hello everyone! I've been singing since the age of 3 and performing since the age of 6. I am not only an experienced music teacher with a passion for music and teaching, but an experienced performer, and songwriter. I started performing at a young age with the Columbia School of Theatrical Arts, and as I grew older I studied different techniques such as speech level singing, classical, and even techniques from Brett Manning, one of the most amazing vocal coaches today who teaches artists such as Haley Williams from Paramore. I have experience performing many styles of music, and also was a voice major in college. The students I teach will benefit from my contemporary techniques, and can learn to sing in almost any style of music they choose. *** Lesson Details *** Do you want to learn ...

We absolutely love Lynzi. I have seen such a difference in my son in a very short time. His confidence has shot through the roof and under Lynzi's guidance, Josh auditioned and was chosen to sing in his school's talent show.

Lynzi is great at getting Josh to channel all his energy into his singing and getting him to focus and follow directions. I highly recommend her!!!

My daughter has been taking singing lesson with Lynzi for a few months now and things couldn't be better. My daughter was wanting to improve her range and tone for musical auditions at her high school and Lynzi has not only helped her grow but has also given her confidence. She ended up auditioning and making the musical... Not just the chorus but a solo part!! We are so pleased and happy to have Lynzi in our lives and we recommend her to everyone! Lynzi is an outstanding teacher and mentor.

David has been extremely helpful to me as a beginner. He not only knows the technical stuff but he is encouraging as well. It's what a beginner needs. He patiently works with me providing tips and a bit of music theory, which I enjoy. The sessions have been enjoyable and I believe I am making good progress. I am enthusiastic about continuing playing and taking lessons.

David is a great teacher! My 13-yr old niece and I decided to take up the guitar not to be rock stars but just to learn an instrument. David was very patient dealing with a kid who decided she had no interest in playing the guitar let alone practice and an older person with klutzy fingers who can't seem to find the time to practice. Amazingly enough through David's good teaching we both learned how to play in just a few short sessions. The kid quit lessons but I am still going and am looking forward to David teaching me my first rock riff…maybe being a rock star is still possible :-)

Nanette G.

Tolleson, AZ

I use the john thompson method.

About Nanette

I started studying piano and singing from a very young age. I used to make my friends come over and watch me perform (karaoke style--before karaoke was big) when i was in the 4th grade. My greatest love is music, performing music, and sharing it with others. As a singer i have studied all types of music, but my favorite- and what i excel at- is opera. I have taken private voice and piano lessons constantly since the age of 5, and have studied opera performance and music theory in college. I perform locally around the community as a singer, direct the church choir, and occasionally accompany soloists on the piano. I have taught private lessons in voice and piano for 5 years and i greatly enjoy the one on one experience of teaching private lessons. *** Lesson Details *** I

Amy is awesome! My son just turned 5 and his attention span is very short, but Amy is able to keep him on track. She is very patient and always go over the material with me, so that I understand it and I am able to help my son practice at home. I really appreciate her teaching style.

Amy is Awesome :o)

It would be very difficult to sum up all reasons why Amy is a wonderful music teacher. Amy provides a positive and judgment-free zone for her music lessons. She is both encouraging and inspirational. When my daughter becomes frustrated with a new note or technique, Amy simply reminds her that she is more than capable and all she needs is practice. I appreciate the time and thought Amy puts into making music selections that will both challenge my daughter’s playing abilities while retaining her attention.

Kierstyn G.

Glendale, AZ

Two tracks: classical or contemporary (or a combination of both if desired). Classical piano has a emphasis on scales, sight reading, and preparing pieces from the baroque through the 20th century. Contemporary piano has a different emphasis on chords, theory, improvisation, and preparing popular songs of the student's choosing. Again, a combination of these two techniques may be used.

About Kierstyn

Kierstyn Greenberg has diverse and substantial experience in piano performance, classical composition, and private pedagogy. A pianist for 16 years, a drummer for 14 years, a guitarist for 8 , and a saxophonist for 7, Kierstyn loves composing, performing, and teaching in many styles. She has performed extensively in venues such as the Wigwam Resort, and the Ground Controls in Goodyear and in Verrado. She also has played for two weddings and several private parties. She has played (both solo and on worship teams) for four different churches over a period of six years. She was the accompanist for all three choirs at her high school, North Pointe Preparatory, during her senior year and played in the jazz, concert, and marching bands throughout high school. Kierstyn began composing short ...

We are very happy with the lessons my daughter has with Kierstyn. She took the time when they started to learn what my daughter's goals were, what type music she likes, and makes the lessons personalized. She works well with my daughter, is patient, but pushes her to continue going and learning.
