I've been teaching brass for over seven years. I use a progressive teaching technique, all specific to each student. I use a Eddie Green approach to teaching brass instruments. I focus a great deal on fundamentals of the instrument, such as: tone, intonation, articulation, dexterity, lyricism, dynamics, sight reading. When we focus on these things individually, the music/musician is already there by the time we play the piece of music.
I am a 24 year old, trumpet/acoustic guitar player with a degree in music performance and music education. I have played in orchestral, brass, and other ensembles, recorded soundtracks, as well as marched with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle corps for several years.
