I have been taking the world by surprise since the age of 4. I began studying at Queens College at 6 years old and was a recital pianist by the age of 12. I was a consumer of music, from the Music Theory lessons on Saturdays, piano lessons on Thursdays and voice lessons on Saturday afternoons, my life was filled with music. It is to no one's surprise that I completed my first demo at the age of 13 and was performing for Queens Colleges audiences at 14. I went on the rank high in the NYSSMA series in both piano and voice. I also went on to study music in college and began touring with gospel troupes nationally. Since then I has done many workshops, Master Classes, tour dates, theatre shows etc. Too many to date. I am a sought after teacher for voice, piano and broadway singing. I train
I began studying piano and music theory when I was 5. My father was an accomplished musician (classical and folklore) who played great role in my accomplishment as a pianist and teacher While studying in Music College, I took part in various festivals and competitions. I performed several piano concertos with symphonic orchestra. Some of them are: Mozart Piano Concerto No 20 in D minor, Saint-Saens Piano Concerto No 2 in G minor, Schumann Piano Concerto in A minor Op 54 pt. Parallel with my studies in College I gave piano lessons in classical music. I accomplished my studies with honors. I traveled and taught music in different countries: United Kingdom, Central and Eastern Europe which helped me gain great experience how to teach students with different background I got my MA ...
I have been privately trained for 18 years by highly acclaimed teachers around the region. I also record as a studio musician and perform regularly. I am very passionate about creating and teaching music, and I bring that energy and enthusiasm to every lesson I teach. Nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing a student play the song he or she has been longing to play. *** Lesson Details *** Learning an instrument should be fun! We will start with the basics, but learn songs as we go along to keep lessons fresh. I am very laid back and will never yell at you to practice, but every student should know that learning begins and ends with them. I understand that every student is different. and every student has a different set of goals they are looking to accomplish. I would ...

Hi! My name is Phil. Thank you for stopping by! I spent a large chunk of my childhood in São Paulo, Brazil but am originally from Richmond, VA. I've lived in the city since finishing up my undergrad studies in 2004 and have since performed in all kinds of settings (jazz duets through big bands, bluegrass bands, folk-rock, chamber orchestras and full symphony orchestras). I love the rich and vibrant music scene that NYC has to offer and I see every day a chance to learn something new. I have experience teaching beginner guitar and beginner piano lessons in one-on-one music school settings at the Rye Arts Center in Rye, NY, which I left so that I could pursue my masters degree in classical double bass performance.
