Drum Lessons in Turrell. Amazing Teachers.

Hello. My lessons are for beginning and intermediate students looking to improve their skills for school band or personal enjoyment. Students will need to have acoustic drums to allow for practice between sessions. We will work on your skill-set relative to your level of experience. Each lesson will build on the next. My goal is to help my students grow with their comfort and confidence. If you are comfortable and confident then you will have fun. It all works together.

I teach the basics of drumming (technique, rudiments, four-way coordination and limb independence) as well as any and all styles related to drum set including rock, jazz, funk, hip-hop, country, Latin and much more. I focus on drum grooves such as Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Latin, Swing, Rock, and RnB. I have experience from multiple drum teachers, and have attended Cuesta College (A.A. in Music Performance) and CSUSB (B.A. in Music). If you're a beginner or are looking to improve on some new ideas and techniques, I'd be glad to teach you.

Matthew has studied and taught drums for over 20 years. His specialty lies in drumset of all styles and rudimental snare drumming. You can expect a well rounded lesson covering all of the fundamentals to becoming a good drummer.
