My objective as a teacher is to ensure I am positioned to motivate students to develop their careers in music and also in critical thinking — to ensure students establish a connection with their audiences through live performances and meet the requirements of professional musicians in the current musical climate.

My approach to private lessons builds from two principles: creative thinking and application. To that end, I explicitly incorporate questions for the students in my lesson plan. I encourage students to ask questions and help them to solve the problems themselves.

About kenny

I believe in private lessons and I’ve been teaching since 2004 and this is what I learned from my previous students. To learn effectively and efficiently, you have to practice and find your way to get better every practice session. I will teach you how to become an artist, saxophonist, musician, an

I have over 5 years of experience playing the saxophone and play the soprano, alto and tenor. I have performed as a soloist, in an wind ensemble setting and with jazz ensembles. I hold a Licentiate (LTCL) Diploma (2009) and a Grade 8 Certificate on Flute (2008) from Trinity College London and apply the same learning principles and technique to the saxophone.

I focus on the fundamentals (tone, technique and timing) using my own personalized approach to methods such as long tones, scales/ arpeggios and technical studies. I also allow students to be creative and express themselves through the art of music.

I was one of Jeremy's first students. My parents were forcing me to pick up music as a hobby and i was very hesitant because it seemed tedious to me. My mom then heard about Jeremy from her friend and asked if he was willing to teach me. He was very patient as i admit i was not the best student, but he stuck with me and now i am taking auditions to play for an orchestra as a principal flute player. I will always be grateful to him for getting me to love and enjoy music as i was against it in the beginning, I would recommend that everyone make him your teacher, he really is awesome! Love ya teach!

As a teacher myself, I find Jeremy-Paul's tutoring service is to recommended as he is very patient and understands the student's capability. As a new learner, he has really given me an excellent start. He makes his lessons interesting and demands a high level of expectations. He is very passionate about his craft and is very enthusiac about engaging his students.

I believe in getting students playing music they love as soon as possible. I have 9 years of teaching experience, as well as a masters degree in music education from Northwestern University. In that time I have learned how to teach important technique and ear training through playing fun and engaging pieces of music in a variety of styles, from classical to jazz, funk, RnB, ska, and more. Music is a fun, practical subject, and it should be taught that way.

About Laurie

Miss Bonner is a very patient and fun teacher, whose methods have boosted me from a beginner to playing college standard pieces by Mozart. She is great at playing clarinet. Classical, Jazzy; any genre you choose and Miss Bonner can teach you well. At the end of the school year, I won an award for being the best member in our school band. I could never have done it without Miss Bonner.
Jason
Ms. Bonner has been such an inspirational teacher over all the years she has taught me. She has helped me improve my clarinet techniques by pushing me to join various bands and best of all, introduced me to Jazz. Also, she is a really fun teacher, always making her lessons fun and entertaining. Without her, I wouldn't have the enthusiasm I have now for music.

"Only one lesson so far but I really like Carl's approach. I wouldn't want a teacher who went "by the book" and just threw a bunch of lesson plans and exercises at me. Carl talked about what I like and what I want to play, listened to me some, and tailored the instruction to where I am at. This is a great place to start from."

"I recommended Andrew as a teacher for a student that I tutor. She's a slow learner and requires a lot of special attention, but Andrew was a perfect fit! He really takes students where they're at and teaches them the way that is best for them. He's capable of teaching any level of student. He's also passionate about what he does and has a lot to offer as far as knowledge."

"After 10 years of inactivity, I decided to jump back into playing the saxophone. I started working with Matt a few weeks ago, and it's really been great. He's very personable and I respond well to his teaching method. In just a few sessions, I'm understanding more jazz theory and am already seeing my technical skills improve. He seems to adapt his style to each student, so if you're looking to learn an instrument or just brush up on a few things, I highly recommend him."

"Comprehensive, Fun, and Professional

My younger brother and I both have taken lessons through Bill for quite some time now.

Bill has been fantastic, and can accomodate to players of all levels. I've been playing for years, and Bill is able to provide practice materials relevant to my musical interests, appropriately scaling up the difficulty of what we're working on. Ranging from famous straight-ahead jazz solos, to tricky classical etudes, I'm happy to know my overall musical technique, repertoire, and general skill will continue to grow at the pace right for me.

My younger brother is taking some more beginner clarinet lessons, and couldn't agree more. He always looks forward to lesson day, seeing what new notes and scales he'll get to play through!"
