I love teaching and helping students to succeed. I've been preparing students to conquer the GMAT (Quantitative and Verbal, including IR and AWA) for the past 10 years. I have taught 30+ GMAT and GRE students and focus on both Math (Data Sufficiency and Quantitative) as well as English/Verbal. Using my broad teaching expertise and coursework in mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry) English (reading, writing, grammar) I have helped prospective MBA students get the scores they need to gain acceptance to their top school choices. This is an immersive and exciting course designed to prepare students for the GMAT sections: Analytical Writing Assessment—measures your ability to think critically and communicate your ideas Integrated Reasoning—measures your ability to analyze data and evaluate information presented in multiple formats Quantitative Reasoning—measures your ability to analyze data and draw conclusions using reasoning skills Verbal Reasoning—measures your ability to read and understand written material, evaluate arguments, and correct written material to conform to standard written English For the Quant section, English-related tips will be given with essential vocabulary memorization, whereas this class focuses on all other sections. Students will be in and out of their seats and fully engaged throughout the course. My brain-based learning methods allow them to increase their scores by an average of 32%, a 50% increase in comprehension and they will be able to memorize and use typically all of the new vocabulary words in 26 days with a memorization time for each word of 2-3 minutes. They will learn in 1 hour which typically would take hours and hours of typical boring GMAT classes.

Throughout my tutoring experience, I have helped all my students achieve top scores on standardized exams. I stress understanding over memorizing formulas to ensure my students can appreciate/enjoy math and apply it to any quantitative career (engineering/data analytics/research). I was enrolled in a top mathematical high school and won multiple mathematical olympiads starting at a young age. I graduated from university with honors and the highest departmental distinction. While at the university I served as a teaching assistant and tutored other students. Mathematics and teaching are still my big passions. I’ve taught math classes at a private school as well as tutored students of all ages and all levels. I am committed to helping students succeed in any math course. I guide the students in their understanding and comprehension of solutions rather than give them answers to everything immediately. This way they are appropriately challenged and become excited about being able to solve math problems they never imagined they could. My tutoring style is friendly, yet directed. I do my best to make our time working together count. And I am extremely good at identifying problem areas and working with students to strengthen them. I have a unique gift for clearly explaining concepts and methods, and outlining step-by-step approaches to problems that greatly aid student understanding. I am flexible and will make sure you get the knowledge and understanding of material out of our tutoring sessions.
