I took in person lessons with Susanna 17 years ago. I put the violin down & hadn’t played since but decided now to take it up again. I was hesitant to take online lessons but then I found Susanna giving lessons online & signed up. Have only had 1 lesson so far but it was great. Extremely unprofessional to abruptly cancel scheduled/paid lessons without the courtesy of a message or any notice because this instructor was unhappy with a 12-year-old child's progress. Very surprised by and disappointed in the manner in which he handled this situation, certainly could have been handled with more respect and maturity.

Jerry is a wonderful instructor. I wasn’t sure how online lessons would go but they have been seamless and fun and my son is making progress with the bugle. I would highly recommend this format and this teacher. The convenience and quality of instruction are excellent. Gabriel is one of the best instructors ever. He found really interesting music for my daughters to play. He also gave them history about different composers and other background info. He taught them a lot of good techniques to help them play better. Overall, he is really inspiring and my daughters advanced a lot. He always went above and beyond. I can't recommend him enough. My daughters loved having him as their violin teacher as he helped them grow fond of music while playing their violins.

Anna is amazing! For the past two years, she has provided individual cello instruction to our 10th grader. She is patient, kind, and easily able to share her knowledge and skills with her students. Under her guidance he has improved his technique and gained valuable experience at his recitals. She has also helped him prepare pieces for his auditions at CCA and SDYS. Highly recommend!

Anna is a wonderful teacher. She allows me as a parent (and encourages) to attend lessons so i can be her proxy during the week to reinforce lessons taught; this helps with continuous week to week progress. She demands a lot of my child in terms of warm-ups drills, site reading, rhythm, intonation, and sound. She is rigorous in terms of proper technique, training, and demands playing "beautifully" (with emotion). When things get too tough she takes a step back and gets back to the basics, focusing on advancing through a piece note by note, measure by measure. The end result is fantastic and often get featured in concert performances several times a year. My child has grown tremendously since starting with Ms. Anna; he had a previous teacher and picked up a lot of bad habits that we had to engineer out. He now is playing at a high level as a 10 year old having been with Ms. Anna for ~2 years. He has grown through each piece, taking his time. There is no pressure to move onto new pieces until each piece has been mastered. His maturity, self-confidence and work ethic have all grown because of cello. It has been a tremendous pleasure to learn from Ms. Anna, not to mention see her perform in the San Diego symphony. She is a true professional who understands how to work with kids but also pull the best out of them!
