Travis C. Watsonville, CA

About Travis

Travis grew up in a musical family in Santa Cruz, CA. His father was a professional guitarist and his grandfather was the head of the music program at Cabrillo College in Aptos, so naturally he grew up with an instrument in his hand. After years of toying with the guitar Travis began formal lesson at the age of 9, quickly developing into an exceptional musician. By the age of 13 Travis was in several rock bands and performing frequently. Once in high school, Travis had no doubt that being a professional musician was what we wanted to do with his life so he started studying jazz and classical piano at a college level, studying with jazz trumpeter/arranger Ray Brown and classically trained pianist Ivan Rosenblum. Travis excelled and quickly began playing in the top Jazz Combo at ...

Travis is amazing. He's been teaching my son for about 8 weeks and he's well exceeded my expectations. Travis is very patient and an excellent teacher. He keeps the class pace moving from music theory to playing songs and somehow manages to keep my rambunctious 10 year old fully engaged for an hour""no easy task. I highly recommend him!

Hristo is the most inspirational teacher I've every had the pleasure to learn from. He shares his talent in a way that I look forward to every lesson. His patience and positive reinforcement encourages me to keep practicing. He selects the appropriate music for my level and teaches all genres. Thank you for working with me every week. I hope I get to work with him for as long as I can until he becomes too famous to continue teaching us.

I appreciate John's patience and style in working with me on the Cello, given my issues with dexterity, range of motion and some memory deficits, as a result of a major stroke, of which I am thankful to have survived. It takes a special person with incredible patience like John, to be willing to take this journey with me, to a place where the healing power of music lives. I anticipate a great ride!

Great Vocal Coach - he has helped me live my dream of singing (on my bucket list for years)

John is so tal'ented, plays multiple instruments, he's artistic and laid back (So Santa Cruz) and he helps me with breathing, posture, finding the right key for me, being able to put the emphasis where it belongs and just be comfortable expressing my inner self with confidence. I LOVE HIM! He is helping me live my dream. He lives right down the street from the beach so I can park on the overlook and practice singing along with my favorite artist - Brian McKnight on the way home after lessons.

Great music teacher

John has been teaching my son (age 12) piano for the last eight months. We have been really impressed by how knowledgeable he is about a wide range of music and music theory and how patient and supportive he is with our son. John is great at working with kids where they are at and taking them to the next level. He's flexible in his approach and really tailors his teaching to the student. I would recommend John as a teacher to any level of student.

PERFECT MATCH FOR MY 5 y/o!!!

Kat works very well with little ones. She was very relaxed from the very first visit which definitely made it even easier on my 5 y/o daughter. During our last lesson my daughter had the case of the "sillies". Kat's tone remained the same & never once showed any signs of frustration. She was and is absolutely wonderful with her! Kat has an amazing voice & my daughter cant stop talking about her & cant wait for her lessons. We definitely made the perfect choice!

Excellent Voice Teacher for My 8 Year Old Daughter

Kat has been an excellent voice instructor for my 8 year old daughter. She is kind and patient, yet has a buoyant energy that engages my daughter in a way the some teachers cannot. The techniques and skills she is imparting to my daughter are invaluable. I highly recommend Kat for anyone (of any age too!) looking for high quality voice lessons.
