With thirty-five years experience as a pro singer/stage director and vocal coach, I bring extensive international experience to my lessons. Having worked with singers at all levels of development, I will introduce you to vocal technique structured for where you are right now. I coach in multiple genres: Jazz -- determining keys, understanding charts and leadsheets, Broadway -- belt, mix and legit, Blues, and for classical singers, multiple languages. I work extensively with actors on both speaking and singing voice and with voice-over and media voices.

As a stage director, I offer stage and performance etiquette, interpretation and how to prepare for auditions and recording sessions. If you are a community singer and just getting started, I love teaching the basics and will help you build the confidence you need!

Lessons are in a double studio with high ceilings, great acoustics and both a grand piano and electronic.

It is a pleasure to provide a recommendation for Diane McNaron and her studio. My daughter has been taking private lessons for more than three years and we have been exceptionally pleased with the results. Ms. McNaron’s extensive background and experience in a wide variety of musical genres allows her to customize lessons around the student’s vocal strengths and interests rather than force a cookie cutter approach. Ms. McNaron has nurtured her talent in a positive, professional manner and I highly recommend her for those looking to improve, learn, or simply polish their current vocal skill set. You will not be disappointed.

Every voice is a unique "living instrument", strongly influenced by so many physical, emotional and psychological factors. In my classes I love to help students exploring their own voice beyond the simple concept of learning a melody and repeating it, showing them how to use their instrument at its full potential of musical expression. I like to teach the technique together with the interpretation, going through every musical style, pop, rock, R&B, soul, country, you name it! I firmly believe that there is something to learn from every genre, and I think that the listening process is an essential step to find our own personal voice. Throughout my career I worked with students of all ages, from 5 to over 60 years old, with different levels of music preparation, from complete amateurs to professional singers.

About Marco

I'm a singer-songwriter, voice teacher and Berklee College of Music alumni. I started my career in Italy, winning national competitions like the Tour Music Fest, and participating to the first edition of the talent show “The X-Factor”. I graduated at the University of Pisa in “Music, Cinema and The

Marco is a very thoughtful, attentive, and experienced vocal coach. I've started to become a lot more aware of how to delivery songs through my voice. Highly recommended!

First of all, Marco is a tremendous singer and musical artist, as evidenced by his amazing vocals and songwriting in his original music. He has years of experience singing and performing professionally, and it shows.

Even more importantly, Marco is a spectacular teacher. He is a student of the voice and knows more about the anatomy of singing than anyone I've ever met. He can describe where you should place your sound, pinpoint how your body is affecting your voice, and immediately show you several exercises that target your specific challenge spots.

Marco has also helped me improve so much as a performer and musician; he has challenged me to sing songs that are slightly out of my comfort zone and given me countless tips on how to pay homage to an artist when covering them while still making the song my own. Finally, he has also helped me develop my own musical style as a cover artist and original artist.

"Heather Lanza has quite simply been a wonderful teacher. As an adult student and an experienced guitarist I was slightly apprehensive regarding vocal instruction. I have been trying to teach myself to sing for 15 years now to no such avail and thought of myself as a hopeless case. From day one she made me feel comfortable and confident that my voice is another instrument that can very well be learned! She draws from a wealth of knowledge and experience to mold a very personal lesson each time I come in. The whole experience has been fun and enjoyable but most importantly has produced results. If you are sitting on the fence regarding taking lessons as I was I will tell you that I am very happy I finally decided to try it out. I trust you will be too!"

"Supportive, fun, and SO knowledgeable

I started taking singing lessons because I wanted to pick up another hobby, and Briana has helped me do just that. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive regardless of what your goals are. She makes the technical side of signing fun and enjoyable, something other teachers I have worked with have been unsuccessful at. Briana provides a positive and warm space to let loose in, and most importantly has reminded me that I don't always have to take myself so seriously. I highly recommend Briana to anyone who is looking for a teacher they can create a connection with, regardless of skill level because she can handle it all!"
