Tori spreads the joy of playing the pedal harp and lever harp by teaching private lessons to children and adults of all skill levels (no previous musical training required!). She teaches at her students' homes or online. Tori's teaching style is holistic: she focuses not just on reading music, harp technique, and basic music theory but also music history, developing effective practice habits, and helping her students' discover how the harp can become a part of their lives and achieve their musical goals and dreams!

About Tori

I am a professional artist and musician in Chattanooga, TN! I have been teaching art and music for six years in California and Tennessee. I have been painting since I was big enough to hold a paintbrush and playing the harp for over 15 years. I have a degree from Stanford University in Art Practice

I can't recommend lessons with Tori highly enough!

I've been obsessed with oil painting, and every kind of 2D visual art, for as long as I can remember, but I never really believed in myself to do it until I worked with Tori.

My drawing, painting, and even my 3D work progressed more, and more quickly, working with Tori than they had in years

Thank you Tori!!!!
Lisa
My three boys (ages 11-15) loved working with Tori. We still have the block print-making pieces, paintings and charcoal drawings displayed in our kitchen. Their favorite project was creating plaster casts of their own faces. Tori is very thoughtful, patient and has a great zen energy. I highly recommend Tori!

Lessons with me are super fun and worth while. I don’t like to cover scales unless we will use them or a piece we are learning covers it! I always try and make the music fun and worth while.

About James

I play and teach music in a part of Tennessee called Chattanooga. You might have heard of Chattanooga from the song Chattanooga Choo Choo! I love to play and teach music and try to always make it fun, sometimes music is hard work though! But everything in life worth while takes some work. I’d love

I met Jeffrey after one of his performances at Loyola University and hired him to give my son lessons. He is really passionate with his teaching and seems quite knowledgable on the subject of classical cello. Would definitely recommend him to any individuals or parents looking to hire a cello teacher out there.

In May, 2016, I graduated from Valencia College with an A.A. in Piano Performance. In 2014, I started teaching piano lessons for beginners. I taught for two years in an after school program at a middle school in Orlando. Now I teach private students.

A typical lesson with me looks something like this:
The student plays what they have practiced, and we work on any difficult areas and techniques for playing better.
We discuss the next lesson, making sure the student understands everything.
I expect my students to practice every day, just as I do. It is the only way to become proficient.

About Melody

Hello. My name is Melody Cook. I began learning to play the piano when I was five. After pursuing other interests for several years, I decided to study piano performance at Valencia college, where I completed my degree in May of 2016 with a 4.0 GPA. I continued my education at UCF and graduated

"Jesse is the perfect instructor for my family. We have been with Jesse for 9 months and my 11 year old son still looks forward to his lessons and practicing. We started at beginner trumpet, then added voice lessons and will soon start the family guitar lessons. Jesse's lessons are never boring. He always does something new and always asks what the student wants to play. Jesse is more than an instructor because he has taught my son to love music. He has exceeded my expectations."

"I can't sing the praises of my daughter's association with Ms. King. My daughter is a special needs young lady, and started the flute as a way to help her 'break out of her shell'. It took some trial and error for Katrina ... but she broke through to my daughter and now she loves the flute and can't stop practicing. Katrina really is a life saver ... giving my daughter confidence, joy and self esteem like no other teacher has. I'm so happy we connected with Katrina."

How to Transition from Classical Pianist to Jazz Pianist

Piano music doesn't have to be all classical, all the time! Here's what you need to know about getting started with jazz piano chord progressions, courtesy of St. Augustine, FL teacher Heather L...   Thelonius Monk, Herbie Hancock, and Duke Ellington are just a few of the great jazz piano players. What beautiful and fascinating sounds fill our ears when their names come to mind! The seemingly illusive progressions and spontaneous elements, like syncopation and improvisation, sound vi …
