I teach from the earliest beginner through adult. My violin students are currently performing for different schools and ensembles. When students are performing with orchestras, much time is spent working on that music as well as their regular music.

About Diane

I have a degree and certification in violin and piano from the Boston Conservatory as well as a Master's Degree from the University of Maryland. I have had additional training and certification as a Suzuki teacher from The Suzuki Teacher Training Institute. I am a member of SAGWA-Suzuki Associatio

As a French student, I can tell that Concetta is perfectly adapting to my way of learning. I know music for a long time but I'm a beginner with viola. I thought it would be a very hard exercise to practice but with Concetta's advices, I constantly and rapidly improve my technique. Five stars is the minimum I can give !

Concetta is a wonderful instructor - prior to my lesson I was feeling nervous - not sure what to expect, not feeling worthy, etc. - she quickly put me at ease and we had a very productive 1st lesson - well worth the investment of my time and money

I haven’t ever enjoyed a music lesson as much as I do with Concetta.
Concetta is warm, charismatic, and truly loves what she does which inspires me to keep going.
It’s the hour that I look forward to the most each week!

Hello!

My is Matt, and I am a professional jazz violinist living in New Orleans. I have experience teaching a wide range of skill levels and ages - I am happy to work with beginner kids and adults, as well as intermediate and advanced players of all ages.

As I kid learned to read music and play violin classically, but as I grew up I moved on to playing violin in all sorts of genres (rock, blues, hip-hop, reggae, jazz), so I can comfortably teach on or off the page in whatever genre/style fits the your preferences.

Do you want to go the classical route and learn to read music? I can help with that. Are you interested in branching out into non-classical genres and learning music by ear? I can teach you to do that, too. I know that everybody learns differently, and I enjoy figuring out what teaching style fits every individual student best.

About Matthew

Hello there fiddle players and violinists! My name is Matt, and I play the violin (or the fiddle, depending on the gig!). I currently reside and perform regularly in New Orleans, one of the most musical cities in the United States. I grew up playing classically and reading music, but it was
