For six grade levels, I had handwriting as an official school subject. I was expected to print Roman letters correctly, write cursive script at the correct angle and form, and incorporate my own unique style into proper penmanship. I also learned how to hold the writing implement the correct way so as not to strain the hand or fingers and maintain a steady flow of writing. I later took calligraphy as an art course during one year of high school. I have helped elementary school and middle school students practice and improve their handwriting, manuscript and cursive, and I can assist adults as well.

About Natalie

During the past 9 years, my goal as a tutor has been steadfast: I want to help you help yourself. As the saying goes, you have to be open to accepting help before you can be helped. I want to help you to become a better artist and have fun while you’re doing it! My style of teaching is to tell you about powerful ways to approach your drawings that will boost your technical ability as fast as possible. In other words, I’m going to help you to make your art look like the thing you’re drawing. But I won’t rush you through it! We’ll take as long as you need to get a good understanding of the most important aspects of the lesson. We can focus on what you are most interested in learning about. Want to learn how to draw faces better? Or maybe improve your proportions for drawing a full body person? Pets, landscapes, still life, it’s your choice because I work for you. Each of these are unique subjects, but there are certain fundamentals that apply to all of them which I will help you with to give your drawings more of a “pop out” look! Some of those things are learning to see values (light and dark), negative space, and how angles and relationships of different elements

About Anthony

I want to help you make huge leaps in your skills to become a better artist than you even thought was possible! Whatever you want to create, you can do it! Private lessons can save a lot of time and keep you on the right path for your personal individual needs, where ever you are on your way to be

My 7 year old daughter was so focused and Anthony was very patient in guiding her along the lesson. She has been very pleased with her work and has shown great improvement after this first lesson. It has been great!

Anthony is an amazing instructor! My twelve-year-old daughter is a determined and passionate artist and she’s been looking for someone to deepen her technique. We’ve tried multiple local art teachers but she constantly felt like these classes were really just glorified babysitting. She has been working with Anthony since March and the difference in her work is truly impressive. He gives her real assignments and follows up consistently. I highly recommend him for kids with a drive to take their art to the next level.
