My daughter really enjoyed her time with Anne!!
Deb
I can't say enough good things about Anne. Our daughter (now 11) started voice lessons with her about a year ago. Smart and talented and energetic, Anne is awesome with children. She gets our daughter to focus (this can be challenging) and work hard, but always keeps the lesson fun and exciting. Perhaps most importantly, Anne really knows her stuff. Our daughter has learned so much--about listening, getting the best sound, increasing her range, protecting her voice. They work together on finding material that my daughter likes, and Anne even arranges open mic nights at a local club so her students can try performing if they want to. Anne is a voice pathologist as well as vocalist, so you can't go wrong. I recommend her so highly for kids, and I am sure she's great with adults too.

After one lesson I know that Annie is going to help me get past my 30+ year phobia of singing in front of people and help get me to a place where I'll want to sing for the fun of it! She is a very compassionate and empathic teacher and is thoughtful with lesson plan and approach.

I'm a professional screenwriter. I've written on both cable and network dramas. And I've sold a feature. I graduated from Film School / Dramatic Writing nine years ago. I'm in the Writers Guild, and have the trifecta of representation. And I've also self-published two collections of one-act plays available on all e-reader platforms.

I'm happy to do consultations on projects you are looking to rewrite or submit to contests. Or if you are just starting out on something new and wants to talk through all the story beats and track it together before you begin a draft.

I can also recommend the best books to read on both the craft and the industry, as well as screenplays and pilots to read (and which ones to avoid).

Learn how to navigate not only the business and landing that first job, but also how to develop a project with a production company, and participate/conduct yourself properly in a TV writer's room.

About Adam

Graduated New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2007. Majored in Dramatic Writing and minored in English

Adam is a really great listener and excellent source of thought provoking, well timed input that has really helped me develop and improve my story organically without changing its intention with strong suggestions as most people's feedback often attempts to do. If you're looking for a hand in finding your own voice and to strengthen your writing skills or excellent constructive feedback for your story then look no further.

Adam Gaines is a godsend. I was really lucky to have his guidance over the years which helped my craft and dedication to the art of writing greatly. He is a proven writer with legitimate credits but also, he actually cares. He is always ready to help and takes your material seriously which is most important when you want honest feedback and guidance. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of films, screenwriting, and the industry that is both impressive and beneficial. He is a wonderful friend and mentor who will always have a great recommendation or suggestion ready for your work and/or career. Adam is an extremely open individual with an immense passion for film and the craft of screenwriting which becomes infectious. That trait is crucial since it keeps you driven to keep learning and grow. He is also an excellent conversationalist with his own voice which is truly refreshing. Highly recommend.

Adam gives you insightful comments on how to make you a better writer. He knows what good dialogue sounds like and with a couple suggestions you instantly know how to re-work your writing to give it a natural flow.

I was pretty nervous about taking a singing lesson, as it's something I've never done in my life. I'm so thankful I got connected to Deborah. She's a fantastic teacher and taught me so much about how our body works to produce sounds when singing and what I am doing. From the first lesson I was already given helpful tips and ways to practice things on my own! I'm looking forward to more lessons with Deborah.

"Jason has been an amazing coach for my incredibly active animated son. He is great at redirecting my boy when he has trouble focusing and provides immediate feedback to help my son make progress. We live in a remote area where actives like this are not offered. We feel blessed that we were able to make a connection with Jason and for his patients with our rural island family. Jason it a true professional and communicates beautifully with me. I am looking forward to continuing lessons for my son!"

"Ms. Jefferson was an outstanding instructor for my 5 year old son. He attended in the evening at her home and she knew exactly how to got him engaged after a long day of school. After a few session I realized that my son needed to mature a little in order to get all that he could out of the program so we stopped. We will definitely be coming back again soon."

"I met Alicia through a school for modeling and acting, my daughter had just started classes there, I had previously submit her application for a short film audition, not affiliated with the school. I was nervous when contacted for the audition, knowing she has no experience, I mentioned her audition to Alicia and my fear, she was so excited for my daughter and was willing to work with her as her acting coach, my daughter not only got the part, I was told her audition was awesome. Alicia coached my daughter only twice before her actual location shoot day, I received so many compliments from the film director and camera crew how well my daughter played her role like a pro, thanks to Alicia. I recommend Alicia to a friend of mine in need of an acting coach for her 5yr old son, she is excited so is her son, he enjoys every minute with his coach. Alicia is the best and will bring out the best in her students."
