Chelsea is WONDERFUL! She has supported every aspect of our son’s development with regard to his harp playing and we are so grateful for her support!! Chelsea is a top professional and anyone would be lucky to have her teach music!!
Stephanie
I had the benefit of taking lessons from Chelsea after I had been learning to play for a bit over a year. She was both encouraging and warm personally, and gave me several ways to think about technique, which helped a great deal. She was able to give me insights to help me get into music theory, as well as technique and practical questions, all so valuable for a beginner!

I believe lessons should be fun and expansive journeys. I enjoy truly connecting with each student in a light, enjoyable atmosphere.

Lessons are tailored to meet each student where they are at, while still pushing them at a rate that inspires them. Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback are always used, while negative criticism is not.

I specialize in teaching proper harp technique designed to allow the player to play for a lifetime! If pain arises from playing students will never be asked to push through pain or discomfort. Rather, we will find a different approach that works.

Lastly, I love working with students on pieces they really love. No piece of music is off limits! We can make any song work on the harp!

About Pheobe

Hello, and thank you for considering me as a potential teacher! I truly love teaching and am grateful to work with each unique student. I began playing the harp since age six. While I am a classically trained pedal harpist, I have a strong background in jazz, pop, folk, and contemporary music a

Pheobe was really the best! I had no experience at all, not even with reading music but she had me caught up so quickly, it was so exciting! She focuses on good technique every step of the way and is so encouraging! There was never a question that she didn’t have an answer for, and I loved how much she cared. After only five lessons, I hope to see her again!

I love Pheobe. She has skills, flexibility, and humor all bundled together with patience. This is going to be such a fun adventure!

I can't recommend lessons with Tori highly enough!

I've been obsessed with oil painting, and every kind of 2D visual art, for as long as I can remember, but I never really believed in myself to do it until I worked with Tori.

My drawing, painting, and even my 3D work progressed more, and more quickly, working with Tori than they had in years

Thank you Tori!!!!
Lisa
My three boys (ages 11-15) loved working with Tori. We still have the block print-making pieces, paintings and charcoal drawings displayed in our kitchen. Their favorite project was creating plaster casts of their own faces. Tori is very thoughtful, patient and has a great zen energy. I highly recommend Tori!

"Anne is a fantastic teacher who brings so much warmth, patience, and skill to each lesson! She took me from a complete novice who didn't even know how to properly pluck a string to being able to impress family and friends with familiar songs. She doesn't have you go out and spend a ton on books or materials either, which I've experienced while learning other musical instruments. Anne provides very detailed assignment notes with each lesson too, which she then emails so you can have something tangible to refer to while practicing instead of having to take notes yourself or keep it all in your head somehow. Highly recommend taking lessons from one of the best!"

"Kristie is an exceptional teacher whom I would recommend to any serious student. I studied with her for a year, which turned out to be one of the most productive periods of instruction that I've had. Kristie is particularly gifted in identifying where attention is needed, explaining and demonstrating clearly what the goal is, and suggesting good practice ideas for achieving the goal. She does all of this in a very relaxed manner that serves to promote growth, rather than to increase tension.

Kristie is also a terrific musician with a deep grasp of interpretation and performance. Her resume speaks for itself. It was always a pleasure just to hear her when she would sit at the instrument to illustrate a point.

On top of it all, she's a great person to know. What more could one want in a teacher?"

I feel lucky that I find Cindy on TakeLessons as first harp teacher, she really knows how to level you up based on your situation, no matter how much knowledge you know about harp or music and what kind of equipment you have at home, she will totally work things out with you. Don’t worry about the remote classroom when learning an instrument, Cindy can change your mind and make lessons functional and fun. Already looking forward to my next lesson this weekend. :)"

Jill has been wonderful in her communication, thorough and encouraging in her delivery method, and as a result after just three lessons I am already hearing the courage from my daughter to learn a piece for a recital in three weeks. That’s really amazing! I truly appreciate Jill’s teaching and flexibility around her lessons."
