Book NowI am young, and unset in my ways, which means I am more readily able to adapt to work with different students to best help them succeed, and can utilize more updated methods of teaching. My joy from tutoring is found in the students, when their eyes light up after a period of study with sudden recognition, and everything just clicks for them in that moment. When a student succeeds, I feel I have succeeded. The most prominent teaching method I would display would be a step-by-step motion, with each activity completed to its fullest extent, or until a student feels completely satisfied in their understanding. I am patient and deliberate in my work, and will do my best to assist in any which way possible.

Teaching is one of my greatest joys! All ages are welcome to study with me. My calling is to work with all students' interests and goals, such as preparing for auditions or playing your favorite video game soundtrack. I'm happy to work on pieces or songs the student is passionate about! :)
Lessons will prioritize an understanding of the relationship between anatomy and sound. My students are taught how to hear an issue in their playing, diagnose the problem, and know exactly how to fix it physically. Creating a beautiful tone, a natural comfort with the instrument, eliminating pain or tension are all things we will work on.
“Talent” is a widely misunderstood concept. As a teacher, I don't believe talent is born. Talent is an artful skill. This skill is made through practice: concentrated sessions of mindful repetition, silent awareness, and craft. I believe anyone can learn an instrument with the right mindset and the right instruction.
My pedagogy teachers include Dr. ...

Book NowSitarist Indrajit Banerjee is one of the leading exponents of the Maihar Gharana. He was born in a musical family, unique due to the large number of accomplished artists in Hindustani Classical Music. Some of these family members include his guru, Pandit Kartick Kumar (Sitar), Pandit Barun Kumar Pal (Hamsa Veena), Niladri Kumar (Sitar), Partho Das (Sitar), Aparna Roy (Surbahar). He got inspiration from his sitarist mother, Manju Banerjee, who was a disciple of late Nikhil Banerjee, and afterwards, Santosh Banerjee. Indrajit’s training began with his maternal grandfather, Bankim Kumar Pal, who was the disciple of Inayat Khan, and Birendra Kishore Roy Chowdhuri (Kochi Babu). He then took training under Pandit Manilal Nag of Bishnupur Gharana. Later on, he took intensive training from his uncle, Pandit Kartick Kumar, who is a senior disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar. All of this training developed a strong foundation for Indrajit’s music, and creative individuality. Indrajit has a special ...
