From high school algebra to college algebra, I've got you covered. Prepare to ace your exams and wow your teachers with the skills you will learn in my lessons. As a graduate of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, and recently the University of South Florida, I have more than adequate experience tutoring algebra. I have been told many times that I am great at explaining math concepts, so here I am to share my skills!

I am a 2018 graduate of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy and 2023 graduate from the University of South Florida. I began tutoring in a program called EIP (PROMISE Early Involvement Program) where each Saturday I tutored 9th graders in different subjects including math. Later, I was a tutor for a residential 3 week program there known as EXCEL, where I tutored math and other subjects as well. I fell in love with tutoring and have been doing it since!

Tessa is amazing! She helped my daughter prepare for her high school math finals in just five lessons. Their clear explanations and patient teaching style made complex topics easy to grasp. Thanks to Tessa, my daughter went into her finals feeling confident. 

My son was engaged and learned. She was able to focus in on the area that he needed help very quickly. She was patient, encouraging, and my son was able to understand.

This is my first time giving my 2nd grade sons a math tutor. She gave him a challenge and helped him work through it. He was able to complete his homework. Our lesson was 30 mins in the evening after school. He said he enjoyed the lesson and felt that he did understand the lesson better which he was working on place values !

Tessa really listened to our daughter's math challenges and assessed her so they could move forward in a more targeted way. We truly appreciated that! She's warm, friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. Our daughter was an instant fan of lessons with her!

I struggle a lot with Algebra. Tessa helps me navigate the rules involved with each type of problem. 

She is knowledgeable and very patient. Her tone of voice is calm and her explanations are simple and easy to understand. 

I especial like the session notes and illustrations she creates during the session on her Jamboard. 

I am able to access  and refer back to the Jamboard  information  if I need to.

Tessa tutors my 7 year old online.  She is great with kids.  She’s very patient and makes the lessons fun.  She also is vey flexible and able to help with school assignments during this time with homeschooling.
