I am a therapeutic music specialist---and I love it! I work mainly with children with special needs, but find that teaching typically developing children is not so different. I treat the educative setting much like the therapy setting, fostering an atmosphere of creativity, support, and fun. I love music just as much as any student! In fact, I still take piano and voice lessons myself! As a teacher, I want to be there with you to have a good time, to tell you what you want to know, and to help you settle comfortably into your own musicality. You have something unique to offer, and that's really my job--to find out what that is!

Harold was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His musical career started at the age of 15 playing drums with local bands. Years later he graduated from the University of Puerto Rico where he was mentored by recognized Puertorrican musicians Javier De la Torre and Samuel Morales. During his college years he studied percussion, composition and music technology. Harold was part of the University of Puerto Rico Jazz Ensemble. He is founder and drummer of the jazz group Mixolydian Jazz Quintet where he performed regular public concerts and festivals as well as jazz competitions. Being a part of this group gave him the opportunity to expand his musical knowledge making musical arrangements for the group and taking the role of producer in their recording sessions. I was born into a musical family in New York City in 1987. I began to study piano at age 6. While in high school, I began devoting more time to the piano, under the guidance a teacher who really helped shape my playing and inspired my teaching methods. I decided during college to pursue a career as a musician. I attended Skidmore College, majoring in music, where I was awarded the Louis Edgar Johns Outstanding Pianist Award. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in music, studying piano with Pola Baytelman and Richard Hihn. During the spring of 2008, I had the fortunate experience of studying abroad in Paris. In addition to the intensive study of French language and culture, I studied piano and composition at the École Normale de Musique. I’m currently pursuing my Masters degree in Classical Piano Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, studying piano with Daniel Epstein.

Hi, my name is Patrick. I've studied piano since age 10 (classical, and more recently jazz) and even at that age I would write my own songs and compositions. I started studying music theory in high school 6 years ago. This has informed my study of composition, as well as every instrumental practice undertaken since that time. 5 years ago I took my banjo to Sarah Lawrence College and started learning to play. I quickly joined the school's Bluegrass Ensemble, which fast-tracked my practice and enhanced my understanding of the idiom. My compositions, arrangements, and performances have appeared in theatre productions (Hartford Stage, Manhattan Theatre Source), several student films and dance pieces, and at music venues in New York (Carnegie Hall, Goodbye Blue Monday). For the past year I've been working with children at the Sarah Lawrence Early Childhood Center, and most recently at MoonSoup, an early childhood center in midtown Manhattan.

New York city based guitarist and composer Juan C. immigrated to Miami, Florida at age 21.
His work speaks a unique language that blends elements from his early musical experiences in Colombia, as a member of various folk, rock (metal ) ensembles, and his studies in East Asian music fuelled by travels and interaction with musicians and artists in China and Japan.

Juan’s music has been performed throughout South America, the United States and Asia. Although Juan cannot return to his native Colombia, his string duet, “Famous Librarians” (commissioned by Olivia de Prato and Victor Lowrie, was premiered at the Medellín Conservatory of Music.) His piece for electric bass and keyboard, “Glue Pain Ghost,” a collaboration with video artist, Jane Hsu, was invited to a world premiere at the GEISAI Art festival in Tokyo, and the Art Basel festival in Miami.

Jason received his Bachelor of Music from UMKC Music Conservatory and went on to receive his Masters Degree in Music Performance at the Rudi E Scheidt School of Music where he studied with Lily Afshar. Jason has won several competitions including the "Brownsville Guitar Ensemble Competition" and has performed at various festivals including the Piccolo Spoleto festival in Charleston, South Carolina. He currently received an Artist Diploma from SUNY Purchase with Frederic Hand. Jason is passionate about teaching guitar to all ages. He has received Suzuki guitar training at the Frank Longay Conservatory of Guitar and is qualified to teach the method to children as young as three years old and older.
Jason is equally as proficient in Rock/Metal as he is in Classical and World music styles. He has studied rock music at various institutes such as the "National Guitar Workshop" in New Milford Connecticut.

I am a versatile singer and a passionate teacher who has been performing since the age of six. This year, I performed at Radio City Music Hall and at Carnegie Hall, and in past years I toured the country in a national production of The Wizard of Oz.

Zach is a New York based composer, performer and educator. Beginning with piano at age four and later picking up bass guitar, he has worked in a wide variety of musical styles and genres. Zach holds Undergraduate and Master's degrees in classical composition from Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Richard Danielpour and Nils Vigeland. With works ranging from screen to stage to concert hall, Zach's music has been heard throughout the New York area, from Lincoln Center to indie movie houses.
