I have been playing guitar, bass and keyboards for 15 years. I have played in numerous bands including the Pyronauts, a Sacramento area based instrumental surf band. From 2001-2004, I attended Chico State University where I received my B.A. in Music/Recording Arts and have also worked as an engineer on a variety of recording projects, including albums, demo projects and jingles. I want to pass on to my students the love of music and recording that I have. *** Lesson Details *** My approach to teaching is somewhat laid back. I don't like to stick to a really strict curriculum because I like to tailor my lessons to individual students. This is because I want to instill a real passion for music. I focus on teaching you the styles of music and songs that you want to learn. I like to teach music theory as it applies to the type of music that you like, that way it's not simply theoretical and can be understood directly as a tool of music composition.
