About Jared G.

I have been teaching guitar for over 20 years and as an instructor, My teaching method comes from a curriculum I have developed which uses popular guitar driven rock tunes as musical etudes. Educating the student with valuable theory, reading, technique, and scale theory, while remaining fun. As a songwriter I have worked with companies like Wild Whirled Music which writes and records music for use in film and television as well as songwriter and producer greats such as Tim James, Antonina Armato, and legendary Desmond Child. With Wild Whirled Music I have had my songs placed on MTV, FOX, TNT, VH1, CW, E!, Bravo, FX, USA and TLC on shows such as LA Ink, Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Parks and Recreation, Mentalist, Psych, Bones, The Office, The Adam Sandler Film "That's My Boy" and the Greg Kinnear film “Stuck In Love”

Jared is my 3rd guitar teacher and one of the best. Not only is he an awesome guitar player, but with his background as a rock and jazz performer and his music education, he goes beyond just playing the music to understanding it. He teaches the songs and styles you want to play, building your catalog and knowledge. Beyond that, Jared gets the realities of an adult learners life - I don't practice nearly as much as I want to, and that's okay. So if you've always wanted to learn guitar, go with Jared. He'll get you there and you'll have fun learning.
