I am a retired concert pianist, entrepreneur and Minister of Music. I have been involved in the creation, performance and teaching of voice, piano and dramatic performance in one form or another since the ripe old age of 6 when I had my first recital. My recital piece was Fur Elise by Beethoven. My students still request it for their repertoire after they hear me play it from memory after all these years. Unfortunately I no longer have the time or the patience to deal with 3 year olds such as I was or cell phone toting young people who expect to be able to play Beethoven after 6 weeks. I have begun to work with senior citizens such as myself who want to go back and take the piano lessons they somehow missed in younger years. Many seniors express regret at never learning to play an instrument, especially now that learning to play a musical instrument has been shown that doing so may help protect them from dementia and related memory loss. SO if you are a musically challenged senior who wants to be able to serenade your spouse on your anniversary; or your grandchildren at birthday parties; friends and family during the Holidays; or just for fun, give me a call. No need to weather the storm. If you are in the south suburbs on the east side, I'll come to you.
