You will learn how to play your instrument in a nurturing environment. I typically use the Suzuki method for bowed stringed instruments and the Hal Leonard and Mel Bay method for Guitar. The Essential elements method for Trumpet and the Albans conservatory method for Trumpet for more advanced players. The Bastien beginning music theory method and supplemental etudes and solos are taught based on the individual student's needs. After three to six months, a student of mine will know several solo pieces, musical scales and arpeggios and at least one or more etudes. *** Studio Equipment *** church: piano teach lessons in choir room, spacious, tables and chairs, seating for parents *** Travel Equipment *** A music stand, method book and solo book, tuner, and metronome. I expect the student to provide the instrument, invest in the method book and solo books, a pencil, and a notebook. The student should eventually invest in a music stand. *** Specialties *** Classical, Gospel, Contemporary, Jazz, and rhythm & blues.
