Jean's philosophy of teaching is...

1. Taking on any new task requires time and discipline. Mistakes are a part of the learning process. The biggest challenges reap the greatest rewards.

2. The student and teacher are a team! The teacher and student will work together to learn together. As the student is learning new skills and techniques, the teacher is learning all about the student and their specialized needs.

Jean's Education:

Jean is a graduate of Bradford College in Bradford MA with a Bachelors Degree in Creative Arts. Her major instrument is piano.

Jean's Experience:

Jean began playing piano at the age of 5. Taking a break from lessons for a few years as a teenager and picking it up again in College.

Jean has been teaching piano for 6 years.

About Me

Dave B. discovered the guitar at age 14 and he has been sharing his knowledge for as long as he has been learning. In 17 years of playing, he has received instruction from many talented teachers, played in many bands, and has performed at many great venues and music festivals across the Northeast. He graduated Suma Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 2007 with a degree in Songwriting and Music Education.

Dave offers a well-rounded curriculum to his students, developed from years of experience as a student, performer, and a music educator. In addition to his core strengths as a guitarist and general music teacher, Dave also has a basic knowledge and understanding of bass and voice theories. Students of all ages will enjoy his genuine enthusiasm and positive attitude and will benefit from his broad knowledge base. Dave believes that music is a life long gift and he strives to lead his students to that discovery themselves.

About Me

I am 25 years old, who has a strong desire to teach, I have the ability to explain music in many different ways, I work well with people, I have a lot of patience, ability to communicate, highly adaptable, always look at the positives, and very energetic. I have a Bachelors Degree in Media Communications with a Minor in Music from Anna Maria College. Over the past 14 years I've played drums/percussion for every type of band from concert bands, to jazz ensembles, to christian rock bands, etc. Also for the past 3 years I've taught private lessons to students of all ages.

About Me

I have been teaching for 14 years as well as performing professionally. I teach all ages, levels and vocal genres such as classical, broadway, pop and jazz.I have also spent 10 years as the Director of Music at the Aloha Camp in Vermont where I have directed 10 musicals ranging from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to Songs of Jason Robert Brown. I am down-to-earth, outgoing and excited about singing and teaching! I am serious about my craft and serious about having a great time while learning to sing!

My extensive personal training in Opera Performance has led me to work with many of the industries leading Teachers, Performers, Coaches and Directors. This knowledge combined with eight years of University training has given me an extensive wealth of singing and performing tools to pass along.

About Me

I have had a regular studio of violin and piano students in the Boston area since 2006. I began teaching in 2001 in Seattle, WA. I perform regularly as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player at the Longy School of Music, in the Freisinger Chamber Orchestra, the Dorchester Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra.

My primary focus in my teaching is to guide my students to becoming independent musicians, and to help them develop a thorough understanding of music. Lessons include learning about music theory, sight reading, performance skills and technique. I have a thorough understanding of pedagogy and a true passion for teaching students of all ages.

About Me

I started playing guitar at the age of 12 years old, the year was 1973. At an early age I was listening to wide range of of music genres such as jazz, rock fusion, R&B, and classical music. I started my musical training at around the age of 16 from a friend. At the age of 22 I started my formal training with a Berklee Grad. of 1981. I studied for about three years and then started playing in local cover bands in the 80's. Within the last eleven years have been studying with a Berklee associate professor of guitar privately, his name is Bruce Bartlett. With my exposure of different genres of music and my never ending pursuit of music theory, I feel that I can and will be able to assist all of my students to reach their goals in whatever direction they want to travel musically.
