Highly Recommended!

Matt's a great teacher. He's really good at articulating, and helping you visualize, the different things that are going on when you sing. In the past few months I've noticed a big change in how I look at, and approach, singing.

Really looking forward to continued growth with this teacher!! Highly recommend him!

Amazing Learning Experience

I've had lessons for many different instruments and different teachers in the past. I would say Matthew is the most patient and thorough teacher I've had. Being a beginner at drums, we heavily focused on good technique and are gradually moving forward as I learn everything 100%. I feel very confident that as I continue taking lessons with Matthew I will be a pro. He gives me the right tools so I can go home and practice what we learned in the lessons and I feel myself getting better and better every week. Overall, I have really enjoyed my experience, Matthew is very professional and has great energy!

About Jonah

Hello all. I have been teaching for about 10 years now. I have degrees from two universities, one for jazz performance and one for classical performance. I have played in multiple bands throughout my life ranging in styles from punk rock all the way to straight ahead jazz. If you choose me for lessons, we will work on developing your musical vocabulary, learning to read music, hand exercises, chordal structures, scales, tablature and so much more. I have a love for music like none other and a passion to share that with my students.

A typical lesson with me would start with some warm-up exercises. I then like to move on to any book material you may have had for that week. We will also work on chords and scales to use accordingly with any songs you're ...

Excellent Instructor for All Ages

Our 10 year old son is really enjoying his weekly at-home guitar lessons with Jonah. Jonah has been careful to thoroughly cover the basics before moving on to more in-depth instruction. This patient teaching method has proved invaluable to keeping our son engaged and giving him confidence to move forward. Jonah approaches each lesson with an easy-going and relaxed demeanor balanced with a serious expectation of learning each lesson's stated goals and objectives. Our son is looking forward to a successful year learning the guitar and we would highly recommend Jonah to anyone seeking guitar instruction.

Was very impressed with Peter's methods, demeanor, patience with my 9 year-old daughter, who is a beginner at piano. She had some experience at reading music, and Peter was adept at recognizing this and 'pushing the envelope' a bit with her and she responded enthusiastically. She left every lesson with a smile on her face.

Thank you for teaching me how to play the guitar. I learned how to play a song and it was really fun because I had no experience at all.

Thank you so much for teaching me different things on the guitar. I loved learning that Greenday song in just one lesson. I enjoyed playing with you. It was really fun and a worth while experience for me.

Thank you for teaching me how to play the guitar. It is a great skill that I now have and will cherish for the rest of my life. I have many great memories at your studio. All the laughs and the great jams and good times. I'm no "Mel Bay" but I can read music which is an extremely useful skill you taught me. I play in a guitar club at school and I am one of the best because I know my scales, keys and the right way to use them. I will never stop playing because you showed me how much fun it is. I am so grateful for that. Stay in touch. Overall just THANK YOU!
