I am a guitarist and guitar teacher in the Dayton, Ohio area. I play Jazz, Rock, Blues, Folk, and other styles of American music. I grew up in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Most of the music that I was exposed to was classic rock, country, gospel, and bluegrass. I started playing guitar when I was 10 years old in 1979. I had a teacher, Lloyd Hazelbaker, when I was 13 who was a western swing steel guitarist. He told me that I was going to be a jazz guitarist but I had no idea what jazz was. He went on to teach me a lot of old standards like "The Autumn Leaves". Later, when I was 19, I decided to go to college for music. Hello. I have been teaching music since the age of fifteen. I would teach note value, rhythm, counting, and different sound techniques on the clarinet. All through high school, I was section leader in band, orchestra, and other organizations outside of Dayton, Ohio. I developed a sense of compassion, patience, and drive. In college I taught beginner- advance clarinet lessons and beginner piano lessons. I believe that God has given me a gift of teaching and I want to share it with others. I received my Bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Music Performance (Clarinet), in Bowling Green, Ohio. I also received my minor in telecommunications.

Jennifer has a Bachelor's Degree in Music in piano studies from Kent State University. She has been teaching children from age five to adult for over eleven years. She desires to help students learn about music and learn how to make the most of those 88 keys. Previously Jennifer has worked at Long Lake Camp for the Arts as a private piano instructor. Some people say they have done something all of their life; I have been making beats since I was born. Often times, when the pots and pans were dirty, I would use the table as a drum and my family's heads as the cymbals! At the age of 4 I received my first drum set and from there it has been an exciting journey.

For the majority of my education I was home schooled, which allowed me to spend a lot more time with my instruments than most kids do. I have always been a bit unconventional in the way I take on challenges, and this carried into my drum lessons. I began taking lessons at age 7 and for the next ten years my instructor was a primarily jazz drummer and pianist who inspired me to explore many styles of music. The experience gained through playing with other people over the last six years has been invaluable, working with groups ranging from church praise teams and cover bands to blues/rock artists and musical drama accompaniment. At age eight he began formal training with St. Elizabeth’s church organist. At twelve David acquired a drum set and began drum lessons; soon after, his family band was playing regularly for enthusiastic crowds. While attending Xavier University, David continued to play in several groups. At Xavier, David received a degree in music with a focus on music technology. He performed with the Xavier University Choir for four years conducted by the music department chair Helmut Roerig. During the same period David performed with the Percussion Ensemble and studied drums with John Gardner of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra . He studied voice with Harriet Beebe and piano with Rebecca Slater. While studying electronic music at Xavier, David began teaching classes with professor James Hart.

Evan was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, playing piano and guitar at an early age. In 5th grade he picked up the trombone for the school band. In high school his musicality led him to participate in multiple jazz ensembles, including the acclaimed Columbus Youth Jazz Orchestra. Evan graduated in June 2009 from Ohio State University with a degree in Jazz Studies performance.

Evan is a diverse and active performer from Columbus, OH. He started touring with national recording act O.A.R. in 2011. He continues to perform as part of the tripledip horn section. I started playing music about 18 years ago and have been playing drums for 16 years. I have played in styles ranging from, intimate free jazz duos to swingin' big bands. Acoustic indie folk to indie pop. Blues bands to country cover groups. All of which have been in a studio and recorded at some point. I like to bring this diversity and experience to my teaching, being able to give my students what they want to learn. And show them how to execute in professional situations.

I graduated from Capital University with a degree in Jazz Studies for Percussion, which is like a specialized performance degree. While there, I was in the top big band, top chamber percussion ensemble, and top small jazz combo. I was also in the wind symphony, rock band, and jazz percussion ensemble.
