Victor K. Cincinnati, OH

About Victor

I received my Bachelor of Music Degree in Organ Performance from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in June of 2010, studying under Dr. Roberta Gary. I have completed all the coursework for the Master of Music Degree in Organ Performance. I will receive the degree in late 2014 or early 2015 after performing one more solo recital.

I began playing the piano at the age of 5, later moving to the organ at 9. I have held a church job since then, working in multiple different denominations and settings. I have a strong background of piano, accompanying, theory, sacred liturgy, and musical performance. I enjoy studying and listening to many genres of music as well as performing them. I am very interested in historically informed performance and understanding different ...

I have 3 kids who take lessons from Victor. The kids have very different personalities and abilities. Victor adjusts his teaching style to each child and they have each improved dramatically. Victor is flexible and easy to work with. All three love him.
Margaret O. Cincinnati, OH

About Margaret

I have taught the piano along with guitar and voice for over 40 years, since I was 16 years old. I started lessons at 9 and continued lessons while I began teaching beginners at a music studio. Since then I have had many different experiences with all kinds of students. I love sharing the gift of music with my students. My goal is to give them a wonderful musical experience and allow them to expand their knowledge of music in a structured manner and can grow to become a casual or professional musician.

*** Lesson Details ***
I adjust my teaching style to the students goals. I like to say I am laid back but do expect progress each week. I can teach the piano for beginner to advanced students. Some students are college bound and need to learn the disciplines of music. Other students ...

Best Teacher I Had

I had a few teachers growing up and she was by far the best and I learned the most from her. As well as teaching the fundamentals and essentials to learning, she also allowed for a lot of flexibility and creativity to learn different styles of music. Also as I got older we could just discuss a lot of subjects on music and was genuinely fun. Had a huge impact in my playing and then also future teaching of piano.

Margaret is one of the most skilled teachers, pianists, and vocalists I've ever met. I've worked with her often over the years, and she's always been prepared and accomplished, taking her job seriously, yet enjoying it.

PJ is a great instructor. He is teaching solid basic skills in addition to keeping the content interesting. He provides excellent feedback in a manner which makes our teen want to correct/improve rather than get frustrated or defensive. PJ also went out of his way to meet our regular schedule request and works effectively via Skype. He has been very accommodating and even pushed a lesson out 2 hours when our son got stranded at school one day. We are looking forward to many Great lessons with PJ and I think that our teen's exposure to him will further ignite his passion in music - really, what more could you ask for than that.
